Not only that, but 10 megabytes was huge back then. Computers have drastically increased the rate of technological advancement in human society.

When they first came out. Then they dropped price, then DVD players that could 'tape' TV were over a grand, and I'm pretty sure HD-DVD/Bluray started out that way too.

I can remember in '01 or '02 when I was still in high school, a mate of mine had one of the very first MP3 players. It held, at maximum, about seven songs and cost over $400.
