Uggggggh. I hate that my laptop is well and truly broke. For the last couple of months, it's been freezing, crashing, not starting up, ect. But after everytime it crashed I always got it working again for a few days, looks like it's beyond my repair this time though.

I'll turn it on, it loads like normal for about 10 seconds but then it'll just crash and switch itself off. I've tried taking out the battery and connecting it by the mains, (because I thought it might have been a problem with the battery) but it still does the same thing.

Fortunately my mum got it insured. I'm a bit weary of someone looking through my stuff though, since I'm relatively sure they won't be able to fix it over the phone. I mean I've got credit/debit card details on there, my Pokerstars account has money on too. =/

Oh Waff, I missed this. The quote you did of the startup is outdated. They completely changed it.

Lemme dig up what they just changed it to (Magic 2010 is the new core set, btw. Think "11th Edition" if that helps. They'll be yearly now for tournament rotation reasons, with the current set always being dated for the year it will rotate out of Type 2).

EDIT: By the way, Online also always keeps the most updated errata/wording for things, unlike offline. So if you have a 5th Edition Goblin King with the creature type "Lord", you won't have to memorize that the current printings of them are "Goblin" type instead with its ability now saying "Each OTHER goblin..." I like that part a lot. Also, the new wordings are in effect, so we are all having to get used to "Comes into Play" being changed to "Enters the Battlefield" (and yes, lots of "wtf YGO FUCKING OUR GAME UP" comments have come up, but the point is to make it a bit more immersible and intuitive), "Remove from the Game" = "Exile", and returning to "casting" spells and "activating" abilities, since the word "Play" was being used way too much. You were PLAYing spells, you were PLAYing the ability of a card in PLAY, things were confusing people where they put something into PLAY from your hand and this was not the same as PLAYing it from your hand, etc. Now that card is reworded "You may put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield" and certain cards that cared say "When this enters the battlefield, if it was not cast from your hand, you lose the game" for clarity.

The new Basic Lands coming in the next block. FINALLY we can actually appreciate the art of these things since they are full art textless (yes, Unhinged and Unglued have done it before, and those have a decent cost to them). It only makes sense to make it so people actually like using their lands instead of doing everything possible to not run what looks horrible.

I really hate that it seems I should upgrade my computer if I am to continue the gaming style that I like (and the games) and I got no income and no will to take up a job. To boot that off I am sick but because I'm in 'Gymnasie' (suppose it's half late-highschool/college) I can only have a limited amount of sickdays and because I'm not 18, I'm not allowed to decide when to spend them. Translation if anyone didn't get the past sentence: If I'm sick as hell tomorrow, I'm gonna get kicked to school by my parents.

Like that I can have some small comfort by the fact that if I survive with this computer for 2 years, I start getting monthly checks from the government in order to support my education.
