I've seen that before! The big saw blade is shopped in but it's a German machine. I think it's an earth mover. Anyway, it's the largest of it's kind in the world, and can only move at a max of 1 mph. That pic was shot on the highway it crossed, which had to be closed for like, two days, if I remember right. The thing is monstrous.

Er, no it isn't shopped in, it's real. It's a German mining utility. The largest of its kind. If I remember correctly, it generally mines coal, at a huge speed. Also, it can move at more than 1mph. Not a lot, but still more than that. And that highway was closed for a few hours, tops. There'd be no reason to keep it closed for longer.

The article I read stated they had to prep the crossing. They had to fill in the ditches and shore up the incline so that the machine could actually get onto the road in order to cross it, and they just decided to close the highway to do all that work. And I guess I just didn't notice the saw blade before. Surprising I'd miss something like a Mr Handy blade attachment, but, whatever.

I don't claim to be a German mining behemoth expert, though, so I won't defend this to the death or anything.

You're right in one sense, it can travel at maximum "0.1 to 0.6 km/h".
