The Like/Hate Thread
Like: That I found a reference in the canon to a possible and completely unknown version of Spiritken. If we wanted to drop all logic, Vegeta hints at something like Kaioken existing in the anime in Episode 22 that I just picked up on. (Surprising right?)

I'll give Josh 20 minutes to reply with Manga info. =D

All he says was that he's encountered something similar to Kaioken before.

Since raising powerlevels was such a big deal at the beginning of the anime (omgz his pl is go up wit kamehameheama) I always assumed it was something like that.

Josh didn't nuke me with manga...I'm sad in the pants now.

And yeah it was food for thought. I'm still intrigued.

He's probably just on a personal call with Toriyama himself discussing the matter, knowing him. Just to make absolute confirmation.

It's likely a reference to the fact that Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Pikkoro, Gohan, etc could raise their power levels which was not something Vegeta and Nappa were accustomed to before fighting on earth.

When they came to earth they found that the inhabitants could not only lower and conceal their power level, but that they could also sense ki in other people.

So you're saying that the saiyans couldn't do any of that? Talk about being primitive.

Kami taught Goku how to do it in Dragonball.

I hate the Khezu in MHFU. I had already tried and failed to beat him twice, but this time I was properly prepared, and had a strategy... attack his legs to knock him over, and then triple smash his head when he falls to the ground. I beat the crap out of that fucking monster for 30 minutes, I could see he was nearly done, I reckon another two hits and it would have been over. He caught me off-guard with his shock attack, but I wasn't worried I had plenty of mega potions left, all I needed to do was find some space and heal myself. Well what do you know, mid-way through the character animation of getting up, he fucking attacks me again and knocks me out. >=[

In my rage I threw my PSP down on the sofa, somehow managing to break off the analogue stick. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I have been that pissed off and frustrated by a video game.

Actually, the Saiyans were quite primitive in a number of ways. The technology they had was stolen/collected from the Tsufuru/Tuffles/whatever when they took over their planet. The ONLY reason they succeeded at doing so was because the other race was a nonaggressive race that wasn't as bloodlusting as they were, and also had Oosaru as a perfectly timed game plan.

I'd say a similar concept is how with all our technology, many versions of Zombie Apocalypse stories still show everything blown to shit.

And yeah, they weren't exactly progressed on Ki either. They pretty much were just cavemen for lack of a better term, brute force and fighting skill that didn't entirely understand what they were doing but did it well. Finesse is not their strength, haha.

No one else could either, Zarbon and Furiza could but both of them actually used physical transformations to hide their real form and power.

In the anime, Ginyu could. Or he had been in a body at one point that could do that.

Don't remember which, exactly, I just remember Ginyu bragging that he was just as awesome. Which he wasn't.

Piece of mother fucking shit network.

That's all I have to say. THATS ALL!

Hate: Time Warner repaired the signal coming into my house, but the connection still drops within the house itself. I can't isolate what's doing it so I'm forced to reset the router each time it happens. It is the router, I'll give it that, but we have 6+ PC's in this house and I can't log each one nor this fucking linksys (I don't have the tools) to monitor what's going on when it drops. On top of that, each time it drops one of my parents is working so I can't fool around with the connection when the Internet is out (They need it right back). I just got chewed out for a problem that is out of my control.

*slams head on desk*

*hate*

What model Linksys router is it? It's probably crashing when you go over it's rated throughput. You probably just need a better router.

Anyway, I hate that my router seems to have a problem with letting me direct connect on games with an opponent. Everytime I try to IP connect, it rejects it. And though my router settings seem correct, now if I log into it and attempt to change any settings, it refuses to save the settings, giving me some bs error or claiming no authorization.

Ah well, I've had the same router for years by now.
