What's truly annoying (as Waffuru pointed out to me) was that all the levels were reset recently and so the people who were playing far more advanced matches are now pushed back down with the rest of us until they get their levels back and get the hell out of my matchmaking zones. So they're all assholes.

And yes, they're incredibly unhelpful if you're struggling which is infuriating. I've been good at games before and know how it feels to be on the other end of the team, with newbies dragging you down. What's interesting are the rare moments when someone actually teams up with you like they're supposed to (squads in BF anything that actually act like a squad...it's happened to me maybe twice? Probably should have had a mic for that shit) and acts nice and helpful. But oh no, everyone sucks and is a newb. Yup. Play more and don't suck. Oh well, time to go find something else to do!

That's Day of Defeat: Source for me. Everyone is scared of me when I'm allied assault because I'm just godly with the Thompson. I don't call people out for sucking. We lose, we lose. Not the end of the world.

Sometimes I'll just follow one around and kill shit if they need help XD

EDIT: I'll also, when angered from veterans trashing me, will purposely start pissing them off. Can do it to a degree here, but in DOD:S I'd just snipe off the idiot calling me out.

I only play practice games, and I enjoy myself so much better when it's just us playing. You pretty much can't die within the first 10 minutes when playing with strangers without being labeled as a "dumbass" or "fucking newb".

Yeah. We played once with five of us against a group of random people, and the entire time they were yelling "u r teh suxorz nub!!!!" and "nice try, homie".

I'm not even kidding. He really did say homie.

I've also been on random teams where someone will be afk for half the game, and then call me a noob for not having more kills.

So I just finished a matchmaking game (surprisingly, only one jackass present) and I was playing Evelyn. A hella carry Champion, and I know that, so I don't mind when I get owned for the first half of the game. What's awesome is when other people don't know that.

I walk up to this dude, start a fight and end up losing. This is around lvl 8. He's the jackass and launches into the usual "omg noob fag lawlz" routine. Next time I run into him I'm now at level 17 and it's pretty much our team versus theirs (those fights are awesome). I end up walking away from it with a triple kill.

Which, of course, is bullshit because I hax. Obviously.

And yeah, we did get into a group game where some dude, around level 7, just started repeatedly going "god ur retarded" "nice try nubs" "lol u all suck" and "keep being bad homie". Then his friend (aptly named CaptainAmazing) joins in with the "rofl i love free points, wut noobs" in the public chat. My response was basically "That's cool. Anyone point out to you that this game is in beta? You know, as in everyone in it is new and not top tier pro status while testing out bugs and characters?" Their response "lol i love when noobs try to make excuses for why they suck". Then my client crashes, I reload, get back in game "lol baddie you can't ragequit and start another game rofl just delete ur account terribad"

Was rather interesting to see the typical "pro status" players running around at the bottom of the rankings ladder (this was before the reset had happened) with brand new accounts.

Those people are garbage. There are no "pros" on that game, because its obvious they do not get paid to play League of Legends, they are amateurs, some just happen to be more skilled at the game.

Eh, like I said, with him, it just takes awareness. I hated him for a long time until I realized that the same insta-gibs can happen by others in the right circumstances. I don't care about the nerfs though really.

I'm happy for the Heim nerfs. (And really laughed at the person who immediately posts "omg now the qqbitchwhineandmoan noobs don't have to l2p and can just faceroll over the WORST HERO IN TEH GAME and i get to suck even more and lose to facrollign noobs who shoud l2p!!!")

I also really liked seeing the people discussing Karrthas's mana issues and lack of a strong ultimate (his move is interesting, but doesn't scale well in AP or lower cooldown, so ultimately useless). His Wall move isn't fantastic either, as it barely affects the hero. He's a mana guzzler and his moves are so weak that if you stack all for mana regen he's still horrible. So hopefully they'll continue to buff him.
