But I'm starting to think that mighta been one of the more boring routes to take, but I'm a sucker for magic-users. I just hope helping this guy in the tower doesn't fuck everything up for me. I might make an elf rogue or something in the future. Slave-thief ftw. But if it's anything like Mass Effect I'll only be able to bring myself to play through once.

Don't get me wrong; Mass Effect was awesome. But the idea of doing it again seems tedious.

Is anyone else playing a warrior? Trying to decide whether I want to go shields or two-handers. I need to remake my warrior. I didn't realize it at creation, but his skin is white. Not like, Caucasian white, like the color white. It's disgusting and going to piss me off the entire game if I keep playing.

Fortunately, I'm going to lose, like, no progress, so I don't really mind.

I went sword and shield and its pretty rockin'. Overwhelm is rape.

I'm using two-handers (with berserker once I unlock it), rolling with Morrigan, Leliana and Alastair. I've got Alastair's tactics set up to attack any enemy who's attacking a party member, with his aggro mode on, otherwise my main guy tends to go down fast.

But yeah, dabbling in multiple weapon trees seems to be bad from what I've read. Apart from Pinning Shot which my Dalish dude came with, I haven't touched the other weapon trees.

God damn crazy old forest hermit.

I'm quite saddened by the extra content provided in this game. Not that it isn't fun, but it throws balance straight out the window. I went to the capital (waaaay too soon) and there was literally 20 bandits ambushing me in there. Their arrows did anything but bounce back from hitting my Dragon armor and hit them in the face. I took no damage and as my entire party died, I stood singular in full dragon armor, ripping these bandits apart one by one.

That said, I will not stop using the armor until I find a cooler one. 'tis the curse of the good looks.

So yeah, I have the Templars and Magi on my side...got Morrigan her book. The fucking Fade thing was annoying as hell, but I did enjoy bashing the fuck out of things in Golem form.

I attempted to do the Redcliffe mission where you fight the damn undead. *slams head on desk* I COULDN'T DO IT!

Ugh ... I think I might have to go buy the console version. It's running like crap on my computer and occasionally it outright overheats and crashes accompanied by loud beeping, which probably isn't good for my computer. I guess I can keep the game for when I eventually get a new computer and try a mage playthrough =(

Specifically, when they grab you. Is there any way to get free or are you fucked?

I had to run around in a big circle and cast Cone of Cold whenever he got close so he'd freeze in step and I could run away some more. I can't imagine they intended for me to circle-strafe for five minutes while my three incredibly retarded party members occasionally catch up to him and slash at his ass.

I guess I should look into setting up tactics for the NPCs to try to make them less stupid. As a mage I'm made of glass and it's hard to run from big scary monsters that cover fifty feet in a step.

EDIT: lawl. It would seem my local EB fucked up and gave me a preorder copy. I've been told I wasn't supposed to get all the cards with the DLC on it. <.<

If this is true, then fuck yeah! If not, then, whatever. Not paying for stuff is good even if it's status quo.

Other characters can free you. I think knockdown or stun attacks might be able to make them drop you.

Depends on which DLC cards you got. Preorders got the feral wolf charm and the +xp ring, everyone who buys a new copy gets shale and the armor that works in ME2.
