Yeah, looking at my stats, I made 20k gold a couple of times, but these were also the games I got like 20 kills or more. Another game I got 11-5 and only earned 12k gold. This is with the Mastery for Smite that gets me extra gold, and I do a bit of jungling all game long. No way a tank with Warmogs (defensive item), and no way of killing enemy champs that aren't idiots, can earn more than maybe 7k gold in a game.

My highest was 10k as Mundo. My second was the other night as Nasus with Kaden on my team. 9k for that round.

Of the last 5 games I've played, I didn't get less than 9k. Those games were all decent in terms of length and team balance.
When I look at items, I plan as though I'm going to make 10k over the course of the game.

Mid-tier play (which is what I would consider most of arranged team games we play with Chubbs people) consists largely of 4-man gank squads and 1 pusher.
The 4-man team usually pushes mid while the solo switches between top or bottom, harassing minions and turrets. I imagine the pusher (almost always a tank) ends up with plenty of money.

I typically end up with a Warmog's, Frozen Hammer, and some other mid-tier item on Mundo before I hit 18. Anything after that is gravy, and I usually have enough to get one or more higher tier items before the final push.

An fyi for people with the "Flash" summoner spell: when you press the button, it teleports you to where ever your mouse pointer is. You don't get a crosshair or anything.

Just tried Heimerdinger for the first time. He's very fun, and quite annoying.

the game lasted for an hour

and I was [URL="http://www.leaguecraft.com/builder/Tristana/70,60,81,17,16,89"]Tristana

it was insanely epic, Dariden's Cho'Gath and put the pwn down on us for most of the game, and we barely defended and then somehow I broke the game and won. I don't even know. I think Tim was just messing around with creeps and not pushing otherwise we would've died like yesterday. Still it was cool.

EDIT: Waff -> Singed
Ander -> Jax
Jaxx -> Mundo

We need a good Alistar to get in on the Singed/Blitz combo Waff and I have been running.
It's fun to bounce people around the map.

Amumu and Tristana would also be acceptable.
And Rammus would do, in a pinch.

I hate it when a really really close game is winding down (seriously, first team to risk getting Baron would have won it) and some jackass leaves.

I just played a practice game with Warwick and ramped up his atk speed and lifesteal to ridiculous levels.
He's insane-o.

Yeah, Waff, that's mostly what happened. I had fully built everything (I should look up my gold bring in for that game) and had about 5.5k when the game ended still, but I had to go jungling again to either get my health back up from the passive (instead of having to go back to base) and to also try Feasting to get my 6 stacks back up. All attempts at feasting on enemy champs instead of creeps resulted in Jack firing his pillage shot that gains him extra gold instead (not saying it was intentional - despite my joking claims in game - just that it was very unfortunate that between it and the aoe canons when I got someone low, it just KEPT happening).
Looking at my stats from it, my gold earned was about 26,027 (ok, not about, more like precisely). 12 kills, 3 deaths, 6 assists. I'd post a screenshot but don't feel like putting it up on a photobucket or something.

Warwick is awesome, fo sho.
I prefer to go damage and lifesteal, since he can do a pretty good job with attack speed on his own. He's beastly either way, though.
In that game I mentioned above (where the fag quit) his passive "your team sees people who are low on life" got me 2 kills on people who thought they were jungling in safety.

I do that build with a lot of people, however, I'm always mixed on doing it with warwick. The reason is that yeah, the attack speed helps trigger his passive lifesteal effect more often, resulting in better gains like that. But then his ultimate seems to want you to have bigger attack dmg instead because it does a set 6 hits, which I want to hit hard.
In the end, I doubt it matters much, but for theorycrafting, its worth thinking about.

@Kaden and Ashe: Interesting. I didn't think of that. Atk speed is most definitely better in the earlier levels (at least, for me; I jungled my way to about 12), but damage would seem to take priority in the later levels.
