The man is the wealthiest sports player of all time, isn't he?

...Let's be real. He doesn't need any more money. But really, I don't see what the big deal is. He got beat up and he makes the news. It's insipid. He didn't even do anything wrong - save the whole adultery thing, and it's not like he's set any kind of precedent - and people are jumping all over him.

His wife beat him up? xD

I thought they got into an arguement over his infidelity, she scratched his face up a little bit, then he drove off in his car, crashing it into a tree or something, and she smashed the window of the car with one of his golf clubs and dragged him out.

I'm actually surprised at how much this has been in the news in the UK. He's obviously a recognizable name, but unless you're a fan of golf, I don't think many people in the UK are really bothered about him.

He got caught cheating on his wife with three different women. It's no wonder she tried to attack him with a golf club. I do agree that people should stop obsessing over Tiger's personal life though.

I will contest that. Michael Jordan is the most famous sports figure ever. There are many, many others I can name off that are more famous than Tiger, but he is up there. And most of them are NBA, anyways. I don't pay much attention to NFL or baseball.

David Beckham is probably the most well known sporting personality, definately in the UK, if not worldwide. He's more of a celebrity nowadays than a footballer though.
