I quit playing SMT persona 3 after about three hours. The grind of playing a set tower level over and over was somehow less entertaining than Arc of the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits.

Katamari was pretty cool.

Psi-Ops is great fun until the first boss battle, at which point it becomes frustratingly difficult. This game was probably the prequel to TFU or Infamous in design.

Demon Stone is terrible.

Final Fantasy XII was just too something. Complicated maybe. The storyline didn't capture my attention like X did, but then again, I didn't have a strategy guide for XII. Haven't extensively played X-2.

Arc of the Lad: TOtS is pretty fun, if a little disappointing with a lack of voice acting.

The Warriors is a pretty fun game, but I haven't been able to find a copy that would play past the first few minutes of the game.

MGS 2 and 3 are both lots of fun, if a little dated at this point.

Never got into KH 1 or 2.

The Dark Alliance games are fun, as well as the Champions of Norrath series.

RE 4 was a great last gen game.

The Fight Nights were fun.

Viewtiful Joe was overrrated.

The DBZ Tenkaichi series was good, though the third isn't a vast improvement over the first.

God of War is good except for the parts where you have to tap buttons frantically. That part is a major downfall for the series in my opinion.

Didn't care for the Battlefront games. CoD is okay for last gen. Halo was a little better.

Dark Cloud 1 & 2 are a lot of fun.

Looking forward to Xenosaga parts 1-3. Do you like or hate any last gen games? Say so.

Persona 3 wasn't that great. Dark Cloud 2 was better. I'm upset that the only remotely good monster catching games for consoles was this series. Couldn't we have a Pokemon or a Dragon Warrior Monsters for the consoles? That said, I've only played Persona 3, not Nocturne or the others.

Pokémon has a large collection of games on console. It's just not the popular ones as Nintendo got its' filthy hands all over it.

Persona isn't really about the dungeon grinding. Or the monster "catching."

People like it because of the blend of RPG and life-sim. Sounds ridiculous, but that's the compelling part of it. I think you'd like Persona 4 a lot more than 3. They split the "tower" into multiple smaller dungeons, and increasing Social Links provides more tangible benefits.

"Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" is the actual title of the series.

Persona 3 was the first game to be officially translated. After that, they released 3: FES (which, simply put, is like an expansion pack) and then 4 came out. Not too long ago, they ended up porting Persona 1 to the US, though I don't think that was the greatest idea ever. The game didn't age well, and people going from playing 4 to buying 1 will probably be pretty disappointed.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is wonderful. Should've known I could count on Mario.

My conversations with the kid from the class room provided benefits in fusing a Nekomata. After that I sortof stopped playing. Also, I was fighting those beetle things like crazy until I took on the quest from the velvet room to get the beetle shell(s). Then the beetles stopped appearing. How gay is that? And I went to the right floors.

The "subjugation" quests, as Elizabeth calls them, are annoying. I didn't really bother with them. And yeah, fusing Persona that match Social Links gives them XP bonuses. Roughly they get half a level's worth of XP per rank of the Social Link.

In Persona 4, your allies gain extra abilities during battles when you raise their Social Links, and the Links, in general, are more interesting than the same "sit and talk" kind of thing that they were in Persona 3. Don't get me wrong, I played Persona 3 to death, but I think Persona 4 is an improvement in almost every way.

Suikoden V and Way of the Samurai (1, that is...two sucked) are two of my favorite games, like, ever. PS2 was full of good times.

I meant to get way of the samurai and got Samurai Warriors instead. It's a mediocre game in the same vein as Dynasty Warriors. Xenosaga part 1 is amazing though, despite having an incredibly difficult boss fight in the first part that involves Ziggurat 8 (twenty plus minutes for me, though I didn't have any of Zig's specials as hi speed yet). Story's good too, and the cut scenes actually have graphics. *glares at ToS detonation sequence videos*

Xenosaga is amazing.

Be warned, though, that Xenosaga 2 has a significantly different combat system (still fun, mind you) and is quite a bit more difficult.

Xenosaga 3 was just amazing. They managed to just take the best of both previous games.

I liked being able to get a stupid amount of points with A.G.W.S. simulator at the beginning with Shion. That was really handy. Plus, without doing that atleast twenty times the boss fight with Zig would've been near impossible due to needing atleast seventeen Med Pack S's in one fight. But there's probably an easier way to win it that went overlooked.

I picked up part two when I picked up the first game, so we'll see how that goes. And I dunno if I should buy the third now since PS2 is slowly fading into obscurity, or if a price drop will take place before the game becomes unavailable. The first and second together were half the price of the third being the dilemma. (Also a problem I have with the first SMT games. . . I want to play Nocturne, but I don't want to spend twenty + bucks on it)
