Swords Honor: Another Era

I am posting this on behalf of Gavin, a recruiter at Swords Honor: Another Era. I also have permission from Kaden to do so as long as a similar thread is made for Chubbs on SH.

Swords Honor: Another Era is a Fantasy Play-by-Post RPG that has existed since 2005 and is the second incarnation of the Swords Honor line that was started 8 years ago. Both of them were created by Sami Dibb. Some of the veteran Chubbs members might know of it, since it was run by Android 18/Anikah back in the day.

They are currently recruiting for members. If you are interested in trying a different roleplaying setting, you can find their Wiki with information here and the forums here.

Yeah. I can't even remember which dragon I was. I think I was the Void Dragon or something like that, the controller of life and where all life came from and ended. I only truly remember Scott as the Fire Dragon though, and you as the Light Dragon.

You were the Void dragon which was the originator of the four elements in the SH world, Scott was the Dragon of Rage from which forth all conflict, war, and strife came from, Sammah was like the Dragon of Darkness representing death, decay, etc he was also Shadow's patron god and I was the opposite being the Dragon of Light.

It tied into the whole ascension thinga-ma-jig.

I tried the site out once. I even recruited my friend not too long ago, though I think he went inactive after a couple of posts. xD

There's not a whole lot of room for becoming a super power player there like you can here. It's all based on whether or not you roleplay, and not based on word-count, like here. That said it's a pretty neat fantasy experience. I used to be Rech among others.

I actually greatly preferred back when SH didn't have people that went heavy anime and had their characters learn to fly, shoot laser beams, and other completely stupid things that didn't fit the type of fantasy that it was originally. Once it turned into essentially Bleach, I lost interest (and that's not bashing Bleach either, just that I didn't like what originally seemed a good Final Fantasyish fantasy direction turning DBZ out of nowhere).

I agree with Ashe. There's something to be said for a fantasy RPG setting. I get random urges to just go back and be my old character.

You can level up pretty fast there so long as you roleplay consistantly. So don't let the concept of being a small player kill an urge to join. I've also not noticed a Bleach environment, whatsoever, since rejoining. It's a lot like WoT or similar fantasy settings.

I think it was Kintro and a few of that crowd that did that stuff, but I can't remember. They labeled themselves dragoons and basically flew and had some kind of renamed energy beams they were shooting every fight.

That's upsetting. :-( I think Kintro left though. Haven't seen him around. But uh. . . Some races can still fly.

SH was badass back in the day. I never stuck around long but each time I went inactive I wished I had stuck around. I joined like 3 times hahaha. Good times.

I'm not really on there that much either, and I just now have gone back there and here to check up on how things are going with both sites (as being a part of both's history and all). SH is actually being ran by the players for the players and seems to still be holding on as it always does lol.
