Let's get over the formalities, what's up guys I'm stoppin' by and I still lurk from time to time.

Anyway, I know I've been gone for awhile but as a few of you know, I currently am attending college at Northwest Missouri State University. You can look it up and all of that all you want for the following opinion questions.

Anyway, everybody here knows Jack, the annoying asshole who sits around taking my screen name (guitarlife). Well that asshole happens to be one of my best friends. That is thanks to you guys, you guys being Chubbs. Without Chubbs I wouldn't have this place I can always come back to and I wouldn't have met Jack.

After much discussion, Jack applied to the same college I attend and he was accepted but he isn't sure about attending. The problem with him making this transition is that it'll be a difficult one to make but for those who know him as well as I, it's one that he needs to make and is probably best for him. It'll get him out of his house and out of the ghetto of Chicago and get him not only to a safer place, but a place where he has security, education, and can start again.

So this is where I ask you, my dear Chubbs, what should Jack do?

Should he at least try this spring semester at NWMSU and give it a shot, or should he just go for the military? Or should he just stay and continue his life as it is even if it makes him unhappy?

The only reason I'm doing this is because I think an outside opinion is important as I have an obvious bias because I want him to come to my school and he's my friend, so he needs to hear a different perspective.

Wow guys, this response is overwhelming. I'm glad you all agree with me and I hope he does it so we can update you on finally meeting up and it would be all thanks to Chubbs.

Uh, as far as Jack's situation goes, if Jack is genuinely ready to do something about his life, going to college with someone you know and who would look out for you sounds like a far better idea than joining the army/marines. Imo.
