She can't stealth, but as a counterpoint, using Ghost while going cougar and brush hopping makes her a fantastic freakin' escape artist.

The only items I've consistently seen on Udyr builds are Brutalizer and Sheen. +HP also seems to be pretty common.

Other than that, not really sure.

Made a post in the other LoL thread that got me thinking about this.

Do you guys think that some of the carry champs (Nasus, Tryn, Viegar, etc.) are too carry?

I was playing a game last night and there was a Tryn on the other team. It was pretty back-and-forth for most of the game, but our team pulled got an ace and broke down two of their inhibitors before respawn. We thought we had it in the bag, so we pulled back, grabbed Baron, and pushed the last inhib.

At that point, the other team left the defense to their Tryn and went on a 4-man suicide run on our base. Shouldn't have been a problem. 4v1 (someone b'd back to defend) with two lanes of super minions. Then Tryn killed all of us. Seriously, just dropped almost the entire team, then cleared out the rest of our supers.

After that our team started playing really shitty for the next 10 minutes or so, we ended up losing all our towers (at the point of the Tryn massacre, we had 2 lane towers, 2 inhib towers, and our core towers) and one of our inhibs. We tried two more incursions into their base, both with the exact same results: Tryn just demolished. The game had been going on for over 50 minutes at this point.

Luckily, the rest of Tryn's team was ridiculously bad. We took one more shot at their base, but I made sure to yell at the team to get Tryn first and didn't stop pinging him until he was down. Once he died, we won in the next... oh... ten second, about.

Absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, I get that he was hella fed by the end of the game, but at the time of his first real showing, he was on par with basically everyone else in terms of k/d ratio. And that was at around 28 minutes.

I agree that some champs are ridiculously awesome at certain aspects (Tryn, Ryze, Twitch, Sivir, Mundo, etc.) but at the same time, you need to know how to play them to get their true potential. Plus (mostly, obviously apart from experiences Kaden just mentioned) if you konw the character well enough, you know how to stop them.

Depends on his build but look at your pref. skillbuild and take it from there.

Thing about carries are that they are somewhat like "enrage timers" in WoW. You either finish the game up within a certain time frame, or these guys are going to get fucking ridiculous (Yi and Twitch are infamous about it since they'll go kill towers in about 2 seconds with no penalty once fully geared). If a carry gets fully farmed, that's essentially like a boss enraging and saying "RAWR TIME'S UP MFERS" and just ending you. 50 minutes is definitely around where carries have full potential, and yeah, if that Tryn was going wild and you guys had no cc to use on him when he popped Invuln, then I can definitely see him going Invuln then just hacking through the entire team.

I was Veigar and we had an Udyr. That was our CC, and it's not very good. What amazed me was that I would drop the cage on Tryn and then people would walk into it to fight him.

I'm also getting annoyed that the only thing anyone really plays is dps now. You'll get the odd Cho'gath or Anivia, but they're still hybrid dps. It's annoying.

Well you just started, right? The game has a definitely learning curve. You really need to know how the other champs function before you can actually play competitively.

I'd be happy to play some games with you if you want help. I'm sure there are a handful of other people on Chubbs who would be willing to do the same.

And Zhu, NOBODY does well when they first start to play. You have to keep playing and keep learning in order to get better, and for some it takes longer than others. This is a game where you need to screw up in order to get a good learning experience, because then you will know why you shouldn't tower dive, and why you shouldn't try to save a champ who's about to die anyway, and why you shouldn't run headfirst into a five-man gank team, and so on and so forth.

Like Kaden said, learning every champ allows you to know how to play them, and subsequently how to beat them. When you find a champ you are comfortable with, stick with them and experiment with different builds. If it's not the champ for you, move on to the next one.
