I'm bored at the library, looking to watch some anime or something. Any ideas on anything good? And no mentions of Naruto, Bleach, or One Piece.

You could always go with a classic like Bebop or Trigun or one of the Gundams.

Otherwise Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi are fantastic. I'm a huge fan of My HiME and My Otome. Kemeko DX is hilarious, as are Hyakko, School Rumble, and Azumanga Daioh.

Some other decent mentions include Chaos Head, Mnemosyne, Bounen no Xamdou, and Blassreiter.

I'm watching Cowboy Bebop right now (at last) which is fantastic. I've yet to find a single person that watched Gurren Lagann and didn't find it fucking awesome. Code Geass is well worth checking out (think along the lines of Death Note with mechs) and Fullmetal Alchemist (either series, though Brotherhood is even better).

EDIT: The Subbed Inuyasha is on Hulu, but I prefer the dubbed voices, myself. As for YYH, I picked up the DVDs for $20 a season at FYE. That is, if you wanted to obtain them legally.

26 episode series. Traveling warrior woman is entrusted with the life of a young noble who is marked for death after being possessed by a water spirit. Good artwork, cast is interesting, decent music. The plot drags a bit in the middle, but the beginning and finale are engrossing.
