I like that change. Woot.
Question: Do we have ships anymore? and if not, I am assuming we can just assume we have a random ship somewhere to do travel in space with?

No ships anymore.
Yes, you can just have a random ship.
Yes, you can RP a planet being however you want it to be.

Landing on a custom planet costs 300z as well?
When in doubt: It was sarcasm.

Quote:3) Only the seven "main" planets of Chubbs have an associated landing cost.
The seven main planets being Earth, Namek, Vegeta, Kajin Rala, Frost, Mercy, and Arlia. So landing on a custom planet is completely free.
Basically, flying to a custom planet is purely flavor. If you wanted to do something in a desert, you could have simply RPed your character running into a desert area on whatever planet you're on. We're not going to charge for exchanging "desert area" for "desert planet."

Way to steal the spotlight Kaden~! >=O

but THAT is awesome!

The Activity meter is based on a point system. You can earn 3 posts per day; one for simply visiting the boards and an additional point for each in character post you make (up to 2 per day). These points are tracked for 6 weeks and then a magical formula decides how active you were. Hovering the bar will also show you a breakdown of what percentage of your points are from visiting vs posting. Also, if you hover slightly below that bar it should tell you how many points you've earned today (working on making that appear correctly as a graphic as well).
Hope that covers any questions.

I recall complaining to a few people about how I hated that there was no longer an Outer Space forum, so this news makes me more than a little pleased.

I like it, but how do i post when i leave now? It used to be you post in the CC forum stating you are traveling to Namek, pay, then arrive X amount of days later. Now since we only have to pay upon arrival, i'm assuming that we only have to post in the CC forum upon arrival. How do you determine when someone is leaving? Do we need to make a thread in the update forum stating when we are leaving and where we are going? Because if there is no means of specifying when you are leaving and where you are going, then anyone can just say... Oh, i just arrived in Namek. I, uh, left two days ago. Or something like that. I mean, that doesn't really matter, as long as they've been inactive on Earth for two OOC days then that should be fine because it's essentially the same thing but it just seems . . . odd.

Adventures in random space + activity meter = badass. I've always thought that last one would be cool if someone figured out how to code it.

Alex: Actually, making a post in the CC forum is what we'll expect. Upon leaving, post a thread saying you're leaving and upon arrival, reply to the topic saying you've arrived and the zeni will be deducted.
I'm glad to see that most people are pleased with these changes.

I'm pleased. I very much like cheaper space tickets, it will allow me to buy more schtuff.
GREG. These changes should inspire you to RP.
EDIT: And yeah, I'm not sure I understand the point of the activity meter.

It's really just for staff use. It actually came about when discussing Cain's judgment. Activity plays a significant part in the "who goes where" conversation and having a meter like this is much faster than searching through forums to make a rough timeline of posts.
