I have to vouch for Jack here. There are appropriate and inappropriate times to make a joke about things and this is one of the cases that is an inappropriate time. Jack, you don't need to blow up at Vad but at the same time, nobody knows the situation with Jack currently other than Jack and myself when it comes to this forum and I can honestly say Jack has gone through a lot of good and bad things and he is bein thrown into a completely new world where he still has to adjust.

Either way, Vad should just shut the fuck up and allow him to vent rather than commenting on his state where he is obviously not in the mood for a joke and Jack needs to not step out of line just because he's angry.

If he's super sensitive about something he should post about it in the Kame House, in a new thread or preface it by a warning. Anything said in the asylum is going to be open to being poked fun at, to a reasonable level. Nothing about what Vad said was unreasonable. We have no inside info so OF COURSE its not serious to us, and we shouldn't have to walk on egg shells just in case.

Or not post at all if you are going to go on a fit when someone says something snide.

EDIT: It's personal, but it's public and he's like leading the charge against showing Jack no respect. So he gets flamed in public. I couldn't care less about warnings when I feel like I'm being mistreated for no good reason. I've talked to him plenty of times and it's to the point where he obviously has something against me, which is fine, but when it's showing up all over the place and NEVER in person, then he needs to fucking get checked. Other people too, mainly Xenia who has like the worst sense of what's appropriate ever.

Like: I may be able to afford Final Fantasy 13 soon. I didn't originally want to get it because of all the horrid things I'd heard about it, but all the talk about it on Chubbs has made me want to play it.

It's good if you like a game revolving around story, and you are willing to read the datalogs to understand whats going on.

It's bad if you want an in-depth RPG, since you can't really stray from your path at all until like 30 or so hours in, or at the end of the game.

imo it's just a taste of FFXIII vs. which is supposed to be similar, but better, and they already confirmed a world map for it so yeah, should be much better. That's not to say i didn't enjoy 13, i really loved it.

I've just been spoiled by open world rpgs. I like being able to do whatever I want. Oblivion, Fallout (not saying these were the first ones), but they changed my entire perspective on gaming. You can do so much more then just the main quest.

That's just what bugs me, I guess. I was looking forward to this game for years, and it's not what I wanted it to be. I love the fighting, and the story intrigues me. But it doesn't seem to have the sheer depth of the Final Fantasies I liked (6, 7, 8, 9, 10). This is from a persons perspective who has never played it for more then 10 minutes, but it's what I've heard. One of my friends, who has played a total of 47 hours of gameplay, warned me that the world felt shallow. That it was a great game, but it lacked something that made it into a great Final Fantasy.
