Mord is one of the best at laning and kiting, once you have any amount of HP regen. Being able to take hits with his shield in order to jump in and harass or escape or turret dive.

I'm biased, though, I think he's a really fun champion.

I guess the kiting thing is what's tripping me up. I'm too used to Mundo's cleaver and being able to slow enemies. Very different style.

That's easily Morde's biggest weakness. No built-in CC. Means you pretty much have to take Exhaust or Flash.

Picking up the Frozen Hammer or the Scepter that adds slow to spells can also help.

What's Mord's general goal? I mean, should I go for an attack build? AP build? Health / health regen?

I usually go for Armor or Magic Resist (depends on the other team) and then damage. Warden's Mail and Frozen Hammer I've found to be particularly worthwhile for him.

Never tried AP, though grabbing some probably wouldn't hurt. Not sure what his ratios look like off the top of my head.

I feel Health Regen is the most applicable build for Morde. Warmogs, Force of Nature, Frozen Hammer all those items are really good for Morde. Because Morde's farming ability is through the roof, it's pretty easy to get those items.

I actually just got out of a game with a badass Mundo.

He tore it up. Granted, the other team didn't have Ignite and none of them bought an Executioner's Calling, but it was still sweet.

Mundo is disgusting early game. With a full crit dmg rune page, Masochism and an optional crit chance elixir, you are guaranteed first blood.

I ran a very succesful Mordekaiser build (10/2-4/x usually) by grabbing Spirit Visage to let me stay in lanes early game.

When you get into 30ies, I'm up for games. I'm sorry if it sounds like a lot, but matchmaking really fucks up if a 30 plays with one not 30. (If you're tired of such teammates)

I'm fine with that. I'm like level 7, almost 8 at the moment. Still getting to grips with it all. Had a couple of good games as Karthus now and starting to learn how to use him effectively, which is increasing the amount of fun I'm having.

That's not it. It fucks up solo-queuing as well for a while. You basically start getting people who only played like 2 times.

That said, screw my guide link. Here's a succesful Mordekaiser build:

Go for middlelane with Ignite/Ghost. You are almost unkillable even at start so feel free to just farm. Don't go for kills, merely harass the opponent champion with your cone attack and spades. You will notice that you're now hitting the enemy tower within 2 minutes of the game effectively starting (as in minions on the lane). You will now steadily push upwards, but be prepared that if the mid-lane not doing any real damage (about 90% chance of that happening), a gank will most likely be called upon you. If they're more than 3 and you get CC'd, you're screwed, but you'll be making up for it later.

Add giant's belt (assuming you started with health gem), grab merc boots, get Spirit Visage, finish Warmogs and now change between armor/magic resist items. You are now fucking unstoppable and even carries can't take you down if you have minions.

I've seen successful semi-tank Teemo builds. But yeah, they run out of usefulness during late game though.

Anyways, recap on my last LoL game.
I was 5-2 when the first tower was broken. I went top lane with Blitz with Teemo and Twitch bot lane and our amazing Zilean mid lane.
So 4 minutes into the game, Zilean gives up first blood to Gangplank. So I was like, shit bro...
Anyways, long story short. I went 20-8 on Jax, Teemo and Twitch had a collective effort of 4 kills and 28 deaths. Basically I single-handedly dragged the game on to 50 minutes, even though we were losing the entire game. My build consisted of Banshee's Veil, Ninja Tabi, Guinsoo's Rageblade, Mejai's Soulstealer, Rylai's Crystal Scepter and Infinity Edge. Now with that said, I literally aced their entire team with minimal help from my teammates except for Zil's ulti. That being said, that is the last time Zilean ever chronoshifted me again, despite of my persistent efforts to beg him to chronoshift me whenever we're fighting. So yeah, we got owned.

Funny story though, the enemy team was so scared of me that even in a 5v1 situation they turned their back and ran the fuck out.

So, quite angry, I went out of the game and saw that we were playing against a full level 30 team, no surprise there. On my team? Well I'm glad to share this. Level 22, level 21, level 30 (me), level 16 (Twitch), level 6 (Teemo). ELO <3!
