That said, my ELO rating/my friend's ELO rating/our combined ELO rating must be fucked, because this is how we do:

We win against a normal team (maybe two-three people queuing together on the other team).

Then we lose against a full premade. Rinse and repeat. Seems I have to get a full premade going on regularly to progress any further. =/

I mean ELO rating wise. I win one, I lose one. I can't push my ELO rating any higher without getting a prem with voice.

Kennen is free this week, so I'm trying her out. I think I prefer to have her as attack speed rather than AP. It gets me the most use out of the passive W ability.

You're trading getting more out of a single ability instead getting more out of all of your abilities. Kennen's AP ratios are way too high right now. An AP build is crazy for nuking.

I decided I don't like Kennen's ult. Sticking around waiting for bolts of lightning to hit people is pretty much exactly the opposite of how the champion is built.

If you want to go Kennen, I suggest attack speed as main priority and when you have a decent amount, stack up AD. Here's how you roll:

You roll down the streets down to mid lane with Doran's Shield with its' companion health pot (because mana are for pussies). You pick Electrical Surge as your first and favorite skill, hit minions 3 times until your shuriken shines then go for a kill. With kill, I naturally mean you hit the champion to apply a Mark of Storm for x% of your current AD and then you pop Electrical Surge. This is almost guaranteed to drop the enemy champion to 50% with you at 98% (in case he hit back).

Now you got the hang of it. Learn some zoning techniques to enable their most prominent exp gainer to get jackshit. Now the item order is kind of iffy, I played an AS Kennen once and went perfect game with him (that is multiple kills and no deaths), but I can't remember the order. Do some practice games (versus other people, it's allowed to be shit in practice.)

Item stats to go for: Attack speed -> Lifesteal and when you have a decent amount, grab a high AD item. Inf. Edge or something. Don't go Bloodthirster, you'll want Starks for that. I haven't tested this build with Last Whisper, but Starks + Last Whisper = almost guaranteed negative armor on the enemy unless they stacked it. That's a lot of damage with Inf. Edge bowled in the mix.

It's always the same fucking shit. I just played 3 games in a row. Same shit happened all three game. I was Kayle, Singed and Jax. Each game I dominate my lane, Kayle I went 3-1 before first tower went down, Singed I was 3-2, and Jax I was 5-1. However, my team ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS feeds the shit out of the other team. And guess what happens later on? I fucking lose.

Kayle game I went 7-7 final, Singed I was 8-5 final and Jax I was 6-6 final. GG

Yeah, compare Kennen to other spell casters like Ryze or Morganna or Anivia. Kennen's AP Rates are great right now.

Nope. You're comparing them to someone who can literally through infinite amount of spells as long as they have mana. As Kennen, you can throw skillshots (which if blocked is useless) to apply Mark of Storms in order to use your W or use your ultimate which is useless the second there's more than 1 champion (roll the dice on which champion gets most damage). I just had a game with another AP Kennen who thought he was God in disguise and he got smushed so utterly completely because he didn't get fed.

EDIT: Also Ryze and Morganna's AP ratios are AP ratios on DoTs. If they were as high as Kennen, they'd shred everything. Anivia is a straight line skill shot that has to be activated (unlike Morgs), but it's still to prefer from Shuriken because this ability can go through units.


I'm not just saying this out of my ass, you're welcome to go test yourself. I almost guarantee you (many factors in games these days) that you will do better as AS.

Nope. You're comparing them to people who have a finite resource that they have to burn through. Not only are Kennen's energy costs low, but he gets significant chunks of them back as he fights and it regens on its own way faster than mana ever could.

You totally are talking out of your ass, by the way. You have a different opinion. That does not make you right and that does not make anyone else wrong.

And, for your information, I have run AS Kennen. I ran both AS and AP a handful of times. You shouldn't offer such awful guarantees.

There'll be a replay of AS Kennen in there with HotshotGG, one of the top players in League of Legends (pretty sure both sides)

I've also run both builds and found that AS is better in both harassment, late-game build up. The only way he gets them back is by using Lightning Dash and that requires him (a squishy person with the AP build) to go straight up to the face of enemies. If there's a stun dropped on him, he's pretty much eff'd.

GL Lightning Dashing into a group of enemies. I don't care how much energy it gets you, it's not like Ryze decides to jump into a five-man group in order to get mana back.

Also, energy costs LOW? His E costs over half of his energy pool and that's what he's going to get the energy back with, except he'll need to use it to escape half of the time. This combined with the fact that you can activate while stunned (with no effect besides wasting energy) and that many do so under panic when getting focused by an entire team really limits him. If he's not able to build up his hp again like with say, an attackspeed lifesteal combination, he can run his ass back to the base unless there's a healer waiting to comfort him.

Regardless, I've been saying 'suggest', 'imo' and such when starting my comments. I'm not stating it's the best, I'm putting down why I think it's the best. I'm not saying I'm right. I am however saying every AP Kennen tend to fail miserably.
