League of Legends
I figured you weren't trying to be. I actually don't care about Kennen nor have I run more than three or four games with him. My point was to reply to you the way you've been replying to other people.

That's all.

Not a big fan of people who lay blame on other people in a game, like "We would have won if you hadn't died. noob". My least favorite is when someone yells "OMG STOP FEEDING". However, I do enjoy it when they die just a few seconds later.

If I had a regular group of people that I could play with and be assured that they wouldn't be assholes, or a way to turn off chat, I'd probably play this game a lot more.

Same with L4D Versus. Online communities around games have just gotten awful. About the only exception is Teamfortress 2 (in most cases, anyway).

What bugs me is when one or two deaths = feeding. Sometimes you die and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

It's partially because it's not a very constructive comment. It's akin to saying "Let's do better at winning." Not helpful in the least.

That being said, I will admit that I do tend to do my fair share of dying a lot. But instead of "NOOB STOP FEEDING!!!!" perhaps a "don't go out so far" or "careful there's a shit-ton of guys on their way".

Yep. Constructive criticism actually works rather well compared to venting due to a pathetically withered tolerance for patience.

I'm sort of getting tired of attempting constructive criticism, more often than not I just sit 'silently' (e.g. sighing loudly into the microphone of my teammate on Skype) at some of the people we meet in queue. Even when I do what people tell me to do, they automatically think I'm becoming their babysitter.

'Call MIA'
<enemy goes away from lane>
<calls MIA>
<2-3 minutes passes>
<gank at another lane with by MIA enemy>
'OMFG WTF WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL MIA'
'I did call it, scroll up.'
'IF THEY'RE STILL MISSING KEEP CALLING IT'

I'm sorry, but if you're gonna make me call MIAs, I'll call MIAs and returns until group fighting phase. I refuse to be your mental notebook because I have to play the game as well.

Yeah, if you ask someone to call something, it's on you to keep an eye on the chat log, which you should be doing anyway.

that and you should then watch the minimap until said MIA comes back into sight.

Yeah, what I also don't like is now I've become reasonably proficient with a character and levelled out my wins vs losses it's hard to try out new characters without being screamed at for sucking and being a noob.

Practice games.

Are really, really too simple to translate how a character will actually play. At least in my experience.

Play against other players in practice, I mean. Fuck fighting against bots. Might as well throw a ball at the wall to see if it bounces. Tongue

When I want to test stuff I just do it in normal games anyway. Treeline is almost a good way of doing it since the matches are shorter, but, obviously, Treeline simply favors some champs more than others.

T'hell with the idiots who want to yell at me. I'm perfectly capable of ignoring them.

I don't get why you'd do that. It's unfair to people who play League of Legends who do it in a competitive matter and practice games with other players are just as efficient.

Macy:Hello you reached Nerf Main Office. Macy speaking. How may I direct your call?

Bob: Hey, I need tech support.

Macy: Tech Support?

Bob: Yeah I purchased one of your balls and threw it against the wall but it won't bounce.

Macy:um maybe I can help. Are their any tears on the surface of the ball?

Bob: No I checked. I thought it my be the graphics were too low so I painted some more on but it still didn't work.

Macy: ...okay, does the ball have air in it?

Bob: Yes its getting plenty of air. Practically floats on the stuff. I'm sure it didn't overheat if that's what you're getting at.

Macy: .... floats? What kind of ball is it.

Bob: Its a Foam T-290

Macy: Foam? Sir, the foam balls aren't made to bounce. You should've gotten a rubber ball.

Bob: Seriously? You mean I was supposed to get hardware instead of software? Crud. Well, thx alot. Hopefully I can send this back.

The same reason people act like complete assholes at virtually every chance they get: because I can.

I know all you care about is being competitive. I don't. On the chance that we win, I might as well get some IP for it. Either way I get the same amount of practice.

Not everything for me is about competition but it feels nice to know that you'll throw an entire game for 4 people that are trying to have fun by doing something completely unnecessary for your own personal gain.

FYI since the recent changes to practice mode, you gain IP if the teams are equal and not won within 10 mins. 35% reduced but you can effectively win 2 practice matches in 15 mins and get the same amount for a normal game which can last up to 50 mins.

Your attitude is just completely unnecessary too, by the way.

Didn't realize I had an attitude.

Testing != throwing a game.

It is equal to throwing a game if your idea of the champion is wrong on the first try. It's not like it hurts to take a practice game against other people in a place where it's not going on any permanent statistic. :|

EDIT: Anyway, leaving this, I'm clearly on your bad side in this thread.
