Ok, I'll give him that he's done a few segments that use facts, sure.

Like "Hitler was a bad man", and "The sky is blue". Those are factual things he may say.

I just got a kick out of his random penis drawing when he was talking about climate change. "Clearly global warming isn't true, because its snowing right now!" *gives serious stare at screen* I mean... really? He either doesn't understand what he's talking about, or is intentionally lying. And he's stated before that he's not a news caster but an entertainer.

EDIT: I'd give O'Reilly the most credit on that station, however, he frustrates me for different reasons. He'll be talking about something and be one hundred percent in the right about what he's talking about, and then suddenly he does a complete 180 and goes the opposite direction. Along the lines of "1+1=2, so if you add +1 again, the answer is PINEAPPLE!" I'll be following till that and be like "Wait, wtf?" I also get really frustrated at how often he just shouts down his guests, BUT I will say that I'm not convinced its as intentional as the others. I think in his case that he just gets so caught up in the argument that he loses track of himself. There's this blond chick (not Greta, but one of the other really fake blonds) that constantly is bad about it.

I also just love when the bring the priest on. That priest has no idea what he's talking about either, but they let him talk for 5 straight minutes, then the moment the guest gets told "Go ahead" and tries to rebuke the claims, he gets talked over by the host who then switches back and lets the priest talk for 5 more minutes in silence, then goes back, interrupts the other guy again and says "That's all the time we have, thanks for coming, Father, as always you get the last word out of respect," and passes right back to the priest.

Eh. He's stating an extreme right view trying to bash an extreme left view about global warming. Both are extremely far fetched.

Fun Fact: My mom used to work in the same radio building as him in Connecticut. She witnessed him punch out a guy from the competitor radio show in the same building.

Well, the point behind that comment was that... Global warming theory believes that it gets hotter, thus melting ice caps and evaporating a tiny bit more water every year. Then that means there is more water vapor in the clouds. Which then creates more rain or snow depending on the temperature. So if you have MORE snow, that isn't exactly an argument against it, because "I think its getting colder, not warmer" has nothing to due with the amount of snow on the ground, only whether or not snow happens. Like for example, the Arctic isn't covered in 30 mile thick snow drifts. Its covered in ice, with a fairly normal amount of snow. Going further below freezing doesn't mean more things freeze, it just means "if its freezable, then it'll freeze", and the amount depends on how much vapor is in the air. Which was the complete opposite of what he was saying.

That's one view. I subscribe to the scientific side that states the planet is warming naturally. Glenn is never on in the house anymore. We usually have Brett Baier on...then DVR gets started and I run to the basement.

Lol.

You subscribe to the fringe side my good friend, the scientific community is of the opinion that mankind is having a significant effect on the warming of the planet.

It's fine to believe what the fringe groups believe, but it's wrong to misrepresent that as the "Scientific side" explanation when clearly the scientific majority(I.E. 90% of the Scientific community) have stated their opinion on this matter.

Well, the "fringe side" argument doesn't really work, as that invokes the popular opinion fallacy. I mean, lots of people used to believe that the earth was flat, and well, that doesn't mean the Flat Earth Society and Malcolm whatever his last name is suddenly became correct. Although they were pretty much proven wrong by the Greeks.

Actually, it completely works.

I guess opinion was the wrong way to put it, the majority of scientists agree that the facts point to humans having a significant effect on the warming of the planet. Where as the "Fringe" scientists believe that is not the case.

The point is, Vad was misrepresenting the consensus among experts.

Edit: Here is an article about Fringe Science for you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fringe_science

I agree with your statement, I'm just saying that going along with something "because the majority says so" is not a valid reason. Going along with it because you have looked at the evidence is. The problem is that a lot of people eat up what Fox News says because they somehow manage to make two claims at once, those being that "most people (sometimes using an actual percentage) think" while then saying "we're the victimized minority here" regarding the same topic. You can't be both, yet they think so. Numerous times their percentages that they use are from a very specific source that is so skewed from what the rest of the sources state that they then cover this by saying "EVERYONE BUT US IS LYING/BIASED". Then people tend to neglect to look into the statistics and see for themselves where they come from and what their own sources were.

Like when taxes were raised only for those making a specific amount or higher, which amounted to something like 5% of the actual American people, and yet somehow their viewers (and the Tea Party) were running around crying that the Obama Monster had raised taxes for at least 85% of the people. Because apparently that many people make over that number that the taxes were raised from (which he himself fell into, as in he personally paid a very large amount of taxes). The rest of the people got a tax CUT, which apparently equated to higher taxes, according to Fox News.

I loved the video where someone interviewed Tea Party members too and one lady was in a dead serious expression while staring at the guy saying "Did you know that Obama is trying to ban fishing? FISHING." And then widens her eyes and grins like "I MEAN SERIOUSLY WOW". Because someone probably told her he was and she suddenly believed it, having not looked for said bill herself.

I agree with that, but like I said. Vad misrepresented what the scientific community agrees on in his post, and I said it's fine to believe the fringe science(plate tectonics was a Fringe Science). Also science doesn't go by popular opinion, it goes by what the evidence shows.
