Thinking about making a canon character dbz rpg. I miss playing with a real dbz character and I'm sure some of you all as well.

Thinking about making it a dual character RPG, as in you control 2 characters at a time and make them work together

I've always liked the idea of an RPG where you take control of multiple characters, once thought about doing a Naruto thing where you make your own team and teacher (that was back when I had time to RP and admin stuff). That said, dunno if it would work with canon characters on DBZ, the popular characters disappear fast enough as is =P

I actually made a framework (rules etc) for a DBZ site a while back with some other Chubbsians that I think I might still have around if you wanna use it. Was based on DBAscension.

Well I wouldn't let people take two main characters from the show, or even two characters of the same race.

Well I remember when there was CDBZ and DBR. DBR was made mostly by Tom, myself, and the guy that played Vegeta (other people were involved aswell tho). It had relatively good success until Tom disappeared.

It wasn't dual character, but I believe dual characters may save some inactivity.

I got introduced through RP by Tom and partly by DBR. I think that was where there was a weekly lottery with transformation prizes.

Why do you want dual characters, by the way? Is it to simplify Fusion?

It would help with that too. But mostly because people lose motivation to write when they're by themselves, and most characters made and controlled by a writer are temporary in the canon's storyline, or just bystanders. Dual characters would give your primary canon a life-partner, almost. To have a counterpart to voyage with.

I did storylines with an NPC, I found it more fun than I would with a dual character.

But it sounds neat all the same, I know lots of people are fond of the whole idea. Plus, it might work with canons.

Yeah. I still know a lot of writers that have the urge to write as a canon. Just because it keeps the dbz-feeling

You were on DBR, who did you have? If you're talking about the same DBR I'm thinking of I played Android 17.

Also I would want to play on a rpg with canons again...so lemme know what occurs.

I was Mirai Trunks. Tom was Goku. Jason was Vegeta. Janemba was on there he was the best writer probably. I forgot who he was on here . . . and on Another Destiny.

I actually always preferred playing as lesser characters from the show that way I felt like I could expand them and mold them more into my own liking. If I was ever to RP someone like Goku or Vegeta I'd feel so confined. I feel like everything about characters like that has already been established so I'm sort of just....I don't know, it's just not as fun :/

In general, I feel that way about all canons.
