Wrong. For example, redditers like to run tournaments where they can arrange a specific 5v5, something you can't do if it randomly matches you. Lots of other people like to get games where its 5 friends vs 5 friends. A lot of my co-workers just started playing and I could easily see them doing something like what they do with Counterstrike, having captains draft pick five man teams and then playing 5v5 games for best of three once a week for some fun. This can only be done with Practice games.
I've been waiting for those to come back up so that I can help them out a bit more without them getting paired against a team of smurfs that absolutely demolish them on accounts that have 6 games played total, 6 wins, level 10 or whatever, and manage to use /taunt every single time they kill someone.

They've changed it so only level 30s can be involved in ranked games. I don't think that affects anyone except Ashe, right?

New patch tonight. Good nerf for Xin. A nerf to Heimer, which is always good. Nerf to Shaco. Nothing else really huge.
I'll almost certainly be buying Vlad, since I have over 6300 IP just sitting around.

Playing this uprooted many repressed memories of DoTA and the rage I associated with that game.
Still fun though. Even if I got stuck playing against people way way above my pay grade.

Just watched the Champion Spotlight for Vlad. A Rylai's, boots, and Sunfire build appears to almost be feasible.

Vlad loks ridiculously overpowered.
Let's put a projectile-spell-popping 4 sec Zhonyas that can move on someone.

He's really not that overpowered. His AP ratios could be toned down a little bit, but the health costs for his spells are about right.
That "melt into the ground" spell costs 20% of his health. It's pretty dangerous to use, and the heal on it doesn't really get back what you spend.

It's still an incredibly stupid concept. Phreak lowered the CD to 8 seconds on a 4 seconds invulnerability spell.

I'd like to make amends for the message above me, I had not slept for two days and I recently reviewed Vlad, it seems he's fine. From what I can see, his abilities are powerful, but they kill him so much it balance out. I have yet to actually have played against him, but until it cools off I don't dare doing draft mode. Wasting a ban with people these days is a surefire way to lose a game in the most unfunny way.
Have anyone met Xin after the nerf? How is he now?

Xin hasn't really changed too much. He's still a beast, but not as much of a win-button now.
Still the best melee DPS, imo.

I bought Xin, had a leaver in a 3v3 on my team so it didn't go well, but I saw a lot of potential. The only thing I didn't like was how popular he is - I went to use him and someone else picked the guy! I still really like Shen though, he's such a tanking bastard. hahaha. Too bad I'm only level 14
