This guy plays a cover of "Fix You" by Coldplay, which is a song I like and he definitely makes it his own with his guitar playing. It's awesome to watch if you play guitar so you can cry to yourself, and it's really pretty to listen to for everybody.

i was going through some stallone interviews for the movie, and i came across this.

i laughed. yeah, couture doesn't have movie kung fu, his day job is hurting people and making them want to stop so no surprises there. i was kinda disappointed about his role in the movie, though. he's the amateur actor on the billing, so i guess it's only right that he has the bit part, but his character was shallow to the point of incoherence.

Hate: Once again I had the realization that I'll be in an OR for the first time in my life come Monday. Mild panic attack as a result. It was awesome.

Fighting to the bitter end is an advantage when your opponent does not wish to perish.

Chill out dude. It's all good. They do thousands of procedures, for them it's just another day at work.

I'm reminding myself that often. Doing my best to just forget about it and take it like another challenge.

Thanks. =D

Everything is super safe now man, how many bad things do you really hear about happening? I mean, when something bad DOES happen it's a big enough deal to put on the news, so that shows how efficient everything is.

I have an anxiety disorder by nature (or however you say that) so in regards to that I'm happy it hasn't shut me down completely, but yeah. It makes sense.

Coming from a person who has been in ORs multiple times through her life and has a handful of doctors in her family, you'll be fine. Remember, these people dedicated nearly a decade to learning how to take care of you.

If you're being put under, it will literally be the best sleep of your life. You'll wake up with a bit of a sore throat and the area of the operation will throb a little. You'll wake up in a recovery room; once you're alert enough they'll move you to your real room. I'm assuming you're doing outpatient, in which case you'll get to nap for a while until you can hold liquid and use the bathroom by yourself and they check your BP and fun stuff like that. It'll take at least an hour due to the meds, but it's way relaxing (as a novice, don't rush this). Then you go home with a nice prescription for painkillers.

As it has been mentioned, doctors will do everything they can to make sure the procedure goes smoothly. If you're still worried on surgery day, let the doctor/nurse know! They deal with anxious patients all the time and can soothe you better than any of us can. You'll be fine! Smile

If life gives you lemons, hand them to me!

Hate: This years Big Brother final. The winner has been the favourite since the beginning, it's pretty much never been in doubt, by the time it came down to the final 5 she was about 1-10 on to win it. So it was all quite an anticlimactic end for the 'final' series.
