I wasn't planning on getting New Vegas until today when I started reading a bit more about it. then I saw they removed the morality meter. I tend to hate those things in games, and in Fallout 3 I felt the implementation was retarded. Then I also remembered I have my badass new PC and can buy the cheaper moddable version. And hardcore mode sounds sweet.

And by poor I mean being good is way too easy and being evil is way too hard if you're not doing it the retarded way.

I just don't like having a good/evil meter because it doesn't make sense to me, especially in a world like Fallout. Reputation and influence seems more realistic. But I'll have to withhold judgement until I actually play New Vegas.

Like seeing my niece for the first time since June! She's gotten so freaking big and wants to talk! I tell her to hush up and stay a baby.
Hate my car is fucking up on me big time. I think there's a shortage in the battery cable or something.
Edit: AND SHE CAN FREAKING COUNT AT TWO! JESUS!

(And yes, I posted this fully well expecting a certain crowd to remind me that "the movie is just bumps and staring at a wall for two hours and hearing footsteps, it sucked". What can I say, sometimes a movie built around creeping you out works on some people and comes off cheesy to others. I'm not worried about it.)

Like: I went out and collected some motha fuckin trash in a motha fuckin park. I got about two large bags full pretty much by myself, so I feel like I did something.
Hate: I cut myself while trying to collect a beer can that was half buried in the bushes. I'm not sure what I hate more, the fact that I cut myself or the fact that some douchebag didn't just throw away his beer, but took the time to bury it in the sand. I got his message though. "FUCK THA NATURE!"

As far as I can tell so far morality has no effect whatsoever besides what the meter gives you as a rank

It's all black and white, from what I've heard. They let you join factions that have different morals, although none of them are truly evil. However the one that looks evil on the outside gives good karma if you kill them, making it a shallow experience.
My point is that, so I've heard at least, their really is only the illusion of choice.
Granted, I haven't played it yet, but that's what I've heard.

Yeah I looked a little deeper and apparently Karma is still in. Balls. But apparently it has very little effect compared to 3 and only reputation affects how characters treat you. Sweet. I guess I'll see since it arrived today.
What I didn't like is that if you kill a bunch of dudes with no witnesses, how does everyone else suddenly know and hate you for it? Three Dog, you son of a bitch, they were JERKS. And vice-versa. If I help some dude, how does everyone else know or even care? I could care less what the game calls me, but when it affects character interactions etc there better be some kind of logic to it. We're in post-apocalyptia, so I can't even imagine them texting their friends being like "Totally bleeding out right now, Greg is such a tool, don't sell him stuff." I guess I can and will from now on, but that's besides the point.

No Sir! It is the best, most ridiculously over the top, aweeesome music for anybody ever!
EDIT: Oh yeah....
So I hated my last job and quit. That's a huge like.
Filled out a million applications with no call backs for weeks. That's a hate.
Got a call from Toys R Us, impressed the hell out of them in the interview and got hired for the electronics department. That's a like.
Gamestop calls me up two days later and offers me a job and now I'm torn between two awesome jobs and I don't know which one to pick. That's a hate.

Toys R Us means more parents, Gamestop means more teenagers.
Pick your poison.
