Obviously, Riot had no idea where the meta would be when the scheduled Trundle for release, but man, it sure won't help anything.

I've only seen him in a couple of games, but I'm not too impressed so far. His biggest boon is that Pillar of Filth, but apart from that he's not like the new Garen or Mord.

Haven't played him yet, but I haven't heard him compared to those. The closest comparison I've heard has been Olaf.

That said, I've been really wanting to play lately, but I've not really had computer access lately. Mine has been absolutely unstable and now I'm in the process of a format/reinstall of everything. Except, now it wants to say it can't find hardware for drivers I'm installing when they've never had issues before. To hell with it.

I bought Erin a new computer and its not terrible for gaming for the price, with her also now having the same awesome monitor that I use. So if people are wanting to do some gaming, I can probably play on her comp during times when she's not using it.

EDIT: I just saw that Corki's Q lost its stealth reveal effect. Has he really gotten THAT out of hand that the utility of that move had to be dropped? I really liked that utility personally and now... Its just another damn AoE. Yay. Q to do generic AoE damage to generic circle. How exciting.

So I sucked at this game when I dabbled in its beta, and I will probably forever suck at it (just not something I can get a hang of). That said, I pretty well enjoyed it (except for the whole 'once-you-lose-momentum-the-game-is-pretty-much-fucking-over-and-you-just-have-to-sit-through-it' thing). How accessible is it for newblets? Is there a matchmaking/ranking system, or is it random?

As much as matchmaking is bitched about in this game, the majority impression is that its barrier of entry, especially in regards to matchmaking, is a lot better than other competing games of the genre. You essentially start in a "noobie island" so you'll get paired with those of similar expectations (unless they are new smurfs - experienced players on brand new accounts for any of a variety of mean spirited OR well meaning reasons). I don't think they literally set you off in your own bracket, its just that you start at the bottom of a tier and the great players quickly jump out of that section due to level and ELO while you mostly stay in the same generic area till your skills improve.

This is the type of situation that smurfing is fine for. We don't mind making smurf accounts to play with you, as that lets us screw around on new characters without the stress of a normal game being involved while also not thrusting you into higher ELO games with people quite as cutthroat.

It doesn't seem like it at first glances, but I do think we have a lot in common. Though as much as I bitch and whine, my bitching and whining is absolutely harmless (just loud and pissy) and I'm not going to even threaten to ragequit the game or uninstall as I'm still having fun even if I'm saying I'm not having fun. I might make the occasional passive aggressive pissy comment, not so much in the "god you fucking fail" direction of insulting but more in the "oh. Thanks. I was clearly hoping someone would come over and steal that golem buff from me at the last moment," sarcasm type stuff. My apologies, its my nature. I catch my fair end of frustrated comments as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Kaden has to take his mic off occasionally in games with me to keep from being overheard as he doesn't use push-to-talk. XD Its all in good fun though. If I really hate something about aspects of playing with someone, I just don't. There are a couple of IRL friends of mine that I avoid playing with because they have some mannerisms that piss me off.
