Like? The Fighter. Outstanding.
It is like any other inspirational fighting movie, but the quality of the acting takes that plot and makes you see why people try it in the first place. Nobody's ever really done it this well before, in my opinion.

Uh, Inception is amazing.
Not as good as Black Swan, though. That movie = hella creepy.
Top five movies I've seen in 2010: Black Swan, Rabbit Hole, Toy Story 3, The Fighter, The Social Network. Inception is a very close sixth.

True Grit was pretty good. As good as the original, and it's hard to beat a John Wayne western.

I hope they get rid of or modify the level scaling system of Oblivion. Also, from the trailer...can you only pick a male character? I usually do anyway, but it seems like a weird move.
Also, super like: Found a website where I can DL video game soundtracks. Fuck yes! People really need to start selling those...

Just saw True Grit. It is amazing. That little girl needs to be nominated for an Academy Award.

It's on my list of movies to see before the Oscars, at the top of it actually, just above Blue Valentine and 127 Hours.

Allow me to share my thoughts on what I believe to be the greatest movie ever made.
Leonardo Dicaprio is one of the best actors of our time. And anyone that doesn't agree should imagine how passionate an actor would be towards his work if he starred in Titanic at such a young age. I doubt anything would reinforce something in someone much more than that. He cares about his work, it's always apparent, and he always does a great job. In this movie, you care about him and his plight, you want him to see his children, you want him to eventually wake up and not succumb to the deepest depths of grief and depression. If you don't then you have no business watching movies.
This movie, to quote my dear friend Evan, "is perfection". Hans Zimmer's musical score was so well done, I described this movie at one point as "ideas set to music." It's not a science fiction movie about people that can control and manifest dreams, it's an exploration of how easy it is for a man to lose his grip on reality. I wouldn't be surprised if psychology majors started having to watch and analyze this movie for a grade, because the entire movie is about flirting with madness.
Ken Watanabe as Saito was incredible.
Cobb: "How do I know you can deliver?!"
Saito: " You don't! ...But I can."
His accent and expensive ass tuxedo made him a fucking boss in this movie. Everything was so boss, so stylish, so intelligent... this movie was my shit.

I'm unsure what you mean by that. Are you saying that by virtue of starring in Titanic he was made into a passionate actor? That he wasn't one before Titanic? He would probably find that insulting.
Why? Because it was a James Cameron movie. And JC hadn't done anything in a while, so there was a lot of hype (just like in the lead-up to Avatar). Anyone with half a brain-stem would've recognized that getting onto Titanic is a meal-ticket.
If you are, instead, saying that the fact that he made it through the screening to get onto the movie shows how passionate he is, I don't think that's necessarily true, either. True, he's a competent actor, but it was a confluence of factors - his age, his chops, and, let's face it, his looks. He didn't make it onto Titanic PURELY because of his acting, and that shows in the movie - in ways good and bad.

I didn't care about his character at all, really. I felt like Nolan didn't go far enough in trying to get me to connect. This is a problem with all the characters - they're simply not developed before we're thrown into the action. Cobb and the girl (I can't even remember her name) got the longest screentime, but I wasn't invested in Cobb's success or failure at all. I was only interested in seeing what would happen, whether his buried self-destruction would win out or not, but I wasn't 'on his side.' As a director, you should want your audience to root for the protagonist, not be apathetic to his fate.
YMMV.

inception was a fun movie, but the finale and ending were both silly. they labored the point of psych-time dilation and time limitations, but time was lost in all the slow motion, constant action, and the back and forth between the layercake mental worlds... there was no tension because i couldn't keep track of the source of tension. i liked the characters for the most part, but it since turned anti-suspenseful during the finale and i completely stopped caring ~10 minutes before everyone got out.
pretty sure i mentioned it before, but the end killed me. as much as time dilation was labored, so was cobb's obession with his spinning top. the only reason he would leave the top spinning at the end is if his kids' faces were his 'real' dream-test or whatever it was called (note: he always ran from his kids before they showed their faces throughout the film), so when he saw them it was proof enough. but, since saito knew of his kids they could just as easily be part of another dream. blah.
tldr inception was mostly good

The thing which bugged me about Inception was how there was this mathematical formula to time dilation. I can see why it was kinda necessary, but it didn't make sense at all. Didn't stop me enjoying the hell out of it, though.

I respect Leonardo DiCaprio. Why? Because in the four movies I've seen him in, he's not afraid to act alongside people that you can tell he knows are better than him.
In Catch Me If You Can, his acting partner was Tom Hanks - at that point in his career, it wasn't possible for him to measure up, but he gave it his all anyway, and I respect him greatly for that.
Twice he's done that with Kate Winslet - Titanic and Revolutionary Road - and it's especially evident in Revolutionary Road, so he steps up his game even more.
In Inception, there are several figueres (Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, and Ken Watanabe the most principle among them) who are equal to, if not more skilled than him, yet he continues to put his all into his projects, in my opinion.
