This will have everybody contribute their thoughts on the world-building of Chubbs as you have role played them (i.e. super important events that have occurred, major businesses and leaders, etc.).
If this gets too crowded, I assume we can open up an individual thread per topic - Namek, Earth, General Topics, etc.

kischiatrist - term I coined for a doctor who specializes in the study of ki and psy abilities on an individual level (similar to a psychiatrist).

Well, uh, firstly, what do we think counts as major events?
Because I think if we put enough effort into it, we could have a State of the World post for people who don't want to read, and an Extended History for those who really want to be immersed.

First thing that comes to my memory is the Central City Massacre. In an attempt to hunt down and execute Vad for his father's crimes against Vegeta's populace, Luna's parents sought out the military to do it. Jessica, the executioner ordered her newly formed battalion to land and take Central City as a base of operations. Destroying half of the city in the process, the Earth military managed to keep them at bay. Killing Jessica and blowing up her ship released the energy in the ships reactors causing a temporary but still occurring rainfall on the destroyed portion.

I'm going to try and keep a running tally in this post. I will update it (and staffers, too, if they want) to make sure we've got a concrete list.
Chubbs Dragon Ball Z RPG - Extended History
[INDENT] Pre-Turnover
The Lookout Saga (2002) - Piccolo fuses with his alter ego Kami and father Pikorro Daimoun to form the incredibly powerful Kamikorro Daimoun. Using the obscene powers of his newly fused form and with the assistance of the changeling Koola and the saiya-jin Raditzu, KD launches an attack on the Lookout, home of the Earth's Guardian Dende. Vegeta, who's Super Saiyan powers were augmented by the powerful Majin enchantment, is killed by Kamikorro Daimoun in direct combat and, with the Earth's strongest warrior defeated, the Namekian lays claim to the planet Earth.
Training in Hell (2002) - Unwilling to submit to the rule of a Namekian, Raditzu turns on Kamikorro Daimoun in an attempt to take Earth as his own. With even less strength than the Majin'ed Vegeta, though, the long-haired saiyan is sent to join his Prince in hell. There, however, the two defeated saiya-jin learn of a way they might combat KD's fearsome power.
Fusion Revival! The Saga part 1: Trunks Unified (2003) - On Earth, Trunks, the son of Vegeta encounters the twice fused Namekian ruler of Earth, but is left to the same fate as his father. As life slips from the young Trunks, a figure approaches him, claiming to be himself from another timeline. Bearing a pair of Potarra Earrings, an accessory spoke of only in legends, Future Trunks permanently fuses his body with that of his dying, younger self. Now imbued with strength even greater than that of Kamikorro Daimoun, the demi-saiyan leads an assault on the terror of Earth.
Fusion Revival! The Saga part 2: The Rise and Fall of Trunks Unified (2003) - With the enormous power granted to him by the Potarra fusion, Trunks Unified defeats Kamikorro Daimoun, severing his head and eradicating his body with an impressive display of ki. Enraged by his leader's death, Koola attempts to avenge Kamikorro Daimoun, but proves to be a poor match for the fused Saiyan. As Koola and Trunks fight, Raditzu and Vegeta return to Earth along with Dende. Vegeta takes Dende to a safe location while Raditzu interrupts Koola's fight with Trunks, warning both parties that they should leave. Unknown to all, however, KD's power had been so great that he was able to regenerate from nothing more than his severed head. The Namekian assaults Trunks Unified, sapping his strength to regain his own. Though Trunks achieves a Super Saiyan ascension, it is not enough to make up for the power that KD had stolen.
Fusion Revival! The Saga part 3: Saiyans Strike Back (2003) - With the arrival of Vegeta and the Lookout cleared of Koola and Trunks, the stage is set for a rematch. Using a technique learned in the afterlife, Vegeta and Raditzu fuse into Vegitzu, a Super Saiyan of untold power. Though the power he sapped from Trunks made him a formidable foe, Kamikorro Daimoun was unable to defeat the fused saiya-jin. With their enemy defeated, Vegeta and Raditzu used the Dragonballs to restore the Lookout to its proper form and repair the damages Kamikorro Daimoun had wrought on Earth.
Precursor to the Takeover (2004) - Dante's Abyss ends with an assault on its contestants by an unknown force. Furiza, leading the changeling empire, hosted the tournament in an attempt to wipe out the galaxies strongest warriors with a single, crushing stroke and pave their way for their conquest of Earth and the nearby planets.
The Takeover Saga (2005) - Koola and Furiza fuse into the power Kuriza and lead an attack on Earth, taking over the planet for themselves. Though a powerful resistance fights against the changeling and his armies, it is the weakest warrior present that, through the use of a Dragonball, enables the changeling's defeat.
Dante's Abyss (2006) - On an isolated island, a group of warriors vied for survival, testing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. From the jaws of the Abyss, the saiyan Raditzu emerged as the champion.
The Red Stallions (2006) - The vanguard of a military force comprised of various alien species (dubbed 'The Red Stallions' because of the horses they rode into combat) invaded the Earth at the city of Antioch. The forces met resistance from a likewise motley collection of fighters, and the city was reduced to a crater. The fighting became personal, and with great effort, the collection of warriors (later dubbed Civil Unrest) were able to destroy the alien flotilla and the surface forces before the situation turned into a global affair.
Dante's Abyss (2007) - On an isolated island, a group of warriors vied for survival, testing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. From the jaws of the Abyss, the saiyan Bardock emerged as the champion.
Dante's Abyss (2008) - On an isolated island, a group of warriors vied for survival, testing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. From the jaws of the Abyss, Android 18 emerged as the champion.
Post-Turnover
Central City Massacre (2009) - In an attempt to hunt down and execute Vad for his father's crimes against Vegeta's populace, Luna's parents sought out the military to do it.
The Vienna Revolution (2009) - Angry about the government's response to the Central City tragedy, Juliet Bracken, a stranger from another world, assisted a group of Revolutionaries in terroristic attacks, including on an Elementary School. Many super-powered warriors found themselves on both sides, as well as an independent group of Assassins that were attempting, unsuccessfully, to sway the tide. In the end, Juliet was arrested by the Central City government, and despite the death of the Mayor, the bureaucrats were able to move past this bump in the road to recovery.
Dante's Abyss (2009) - A return to a more old-fashioned style of competition, this tournament featured safety bunkers and pre-arranged battles between its contestants. Out of a field of warriors personally selected by the tournament's host, the demi-saiyan Sage emerged as the winner.
The Ball-Nanza (2010) - The climax of the search for the Galaxial Dragon Balls, Belle Hibiki, who had been searching for them for several years in an attempt to bring back the victims of the Construct, entered into battle with Ander, Kaden, and Sage for the magic orbs. After being defeated, Ander summoned Shenron and wished for control of the earth (Elemental Ki - Earth). Shenron, however, was able to allow Belle to wish for the Construct's victims to be revived, due to a little extra energy gathered from being asleep for so long.
Ja City's Tragedy (2010) - Several important and leading philanthropists in Ja City were murdered by an unknown assailant characterized as having a slim build and bright, red hair. The same woman went on a rampage throughout the city which resulted in the police force, SWAT, and para-military units to be called out to combat her. In the end, a small-scale nuclear warhead was dropped. The woman is rumored to still be alive. Ja Ciy's business, uptown, and industrial districts were ruined, with the two former regions leveled by the warhead. Civilian and military deaths are rumored to be close to a million, although official tabulations have yet to be released as threat of invasion has prevented rescue and repair efforts. I don't know. I think that should be on our list of things to decide, along with whether or not to include game shows or competitive sagas.

We could always include pre-Turnover stuff in a separate thread than 'Contemporary' Chubbs history. I mean, I still love the idea of a giant timeline or sorts.
As for sagas, I mean, people are going to know they happened, right? In-world wasn't (for instance) Dante's Abyss a widely popular event that people would get stoked about? (again, in game)
That said:

I definitely think that the game shows and sagas should be included, provided they (or their repercussions) are something that the general public of the Chubbs universe should know about.
In regards to pre-switch, I say write it up with an asterisk or note that it's such. If things end up not being included, no harm no foul.

In character, I referenced the 'newer style' DAs as 1, 2, and 3, because Chubbs doesn't have an actual time period that it is set in. That's, obviously, just me, but I thought it was a decent way to help separate the two without having to use years that don't match the setting.
I'm also unaware of any DA's before 2006 (I know they were the older, bunker-style one's however), and anyone is free to expand on these short descriptions. I just figured that trying to grab every single contestant right at this moment would take forever.
Dante's Abyss (2006) - On an isolated island, a group of warriors vied for survival, testing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. From the jaws of the Abyss, the saiyan Raditzu emerged as the champion.
Dante's Abyss (2007) - On an isolated island, a group of warriors vied for survival, testing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. From the jaws of the Abyss, the saiyan Bardock emerged as the champion.
Dante's Abyss (2008)8) - On an isolated island, a group of warriors vied for survival, testing themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. From the jaws of the Abyss, Android 18 emerged as the champion.
Dante's Abyss (2009) - A return to a more old-fashioned style of competition, this tournament featured safety bunkers and pre-arranged battles between its contestants. Out of a field of warriors personally selected by the tournament's host, the demi-saiyan Sage emerged as the winner.
---
And since I couldn't resist the draw,
The Red Stallions (2006) - The vanguard of a military force comprised of various alien species (dubbed 'The Red Stallions' because of the horses they rode into combat) invaded the Earth at the city of Antioch. The forces met resistance from a likewise motley collection of fighters, and the city was reduced to a crater. I know this is kind of not adding to the discussion because I honestly don't KNOW much Chubbz history... but this thread is SICK.
I think it will be important for us to clarify traits about species and races in this thread too.
In MYYYY ideas about changelings, each of them transform differently based on a "bloodline" status. So that's why off of Furiza's family changed generally the same shape.

To add on a couple of things that Zhu Zhi has extensively been involved in.
East City Mafia - Powerful underground function that is extremely powerful in East City and has severe ties within the government and other mobs residing in Earth and other planets. Their influences encompass drugs, alcohol, casinos, laundering money, but most importantly inter-planet trades and tariff control. The most powerful Mafia Faction that inhabits Earth. Their main competition on Earth are West City Triads and The Bloody Cripplers which takes a form of street gang more than organized crime.
Historical Earth - In order for me to explain Zhu's roots and find his racial heritage, I've incorporated a high amount of real world history. Things like, the Opium War, or the Eight Nation Alliance, and the imperial Chinese Dynasties. Just thought I'd throw this in here.

And, pretty sure the Takeover didn't happen in 2004. More like 2006.

I'm going to stop adding a list of players involved, because there's no way we can do that for everything. Events in my memory that descriptions are still needed for:
- Dante's Abyss: Conquest
- The Construct Saga (the name escapes me)
- Friend or Foe 3
- Black Dawn
- Kill Town
- Our Eternal Violence
EDIT: We also apparently need one for any Dante's Abyss before 2006, as well as for The Invasion (obviously a tentative one till the saga is finished).
