I had to choose between pre-ordering Dragon Age II or pre-ordering the new Pokemon. I decided on the game that lets you fight Demons and Dragons, but oh was I tempted on the latter.

Like: DA: Awakening. After a year of putting off playing it, I finally decided to give it a shot at Tim's urging. I am horribly ashamed it took me so long to play the game.

Fuck yeah DA2. I was actually disliking what I'd seen but after playing the demo, I definitely prefer the new ability trees and the combat really isn't as different as I expected, just faster and more action-y really but it doesn't seem any less strategic. I still prefer customisable race/origins over having a fully-voiced hero, but I can see the advantages.

Right now I'm trying to complete my warrior runthrough on Origins before it comes out. But goddamn, Lothering is boring. I still haven't played Awakenings.

My soon-to-be-old PC's power must be MAXIMUM.

I know 90% of the stuff I made this character to fix from my old playthroughs likely won't matter, but you never know what'll pop up. Oh, the horror of playing through Mass Effect one again, twice... ugh.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that you can bring a file into 2, even if you don't get to use them character.

I'll miss my Misery and 140 dexterity archer ridiculousness.

Yeah, you can import your choices so it's like your heroes from each game are BROS IN TIME: WORKING TOGETHER TO MAKE AN AWESOMER DRAGON AGE WORLD or taking turns bending it over and fucking it, respectively.

I caved and bought Awakening for the 360 since it's going to be ages before I have a completed save on the PC. Gonna binge through it in one week starting today and be ALL READY for DA2.

On my PC hard-mode-runthrough game I've been playing, I've gotten to Redcliffe and so far the only obstacle I've encountered is dogs. Granted they're optional but I've wiped twice now, no way I can just let those dogs get away with this. Hordes of zombies are NO PROBLEM but apparently dogs are gods in the Dragon Age world.

They have an Ultimate Version of Dragon Age that includes everything downloadable ever for Dragon Age (including Awakenings). It's only 60 bucks. I'd highly recommend that shit if you want to have all the DLC without wanting to buy that for extra or some jazz.

Well my situation is kind of bizarre, I have two copies. I bought for PC (for mods, fixing rageworthy shit they never fixed on the 360 like all archers and rogues doing way less damage than intended, and being able to do a few more things strategically), realised my PC ran it like shit, bought it for 360 (luckily I still got the two free DLCs), completed it, finally afforded a better PC and decided I didn't want to buy Awakening for the 360 because they still hadn't fixed a lot of the problems they'd already fixed for PC. But at this point ... fuck it. I'm going to be buying DA2 for the 360 anyway since the versions seem identical now and I like playing with a bigass TV.
