I do have to say one thing.

If a comment like the one you quoted is considered "attacking someone", then I guess I can see how my posts are constantly perceived as me attacking people. I don't see how one is not allowed to simply disagree, ask for clarification, or flat out try to DISCUSS something without it being considered an attack. I'm not really totally even talking about your post specifically but just a generic thing that happens at times. Text, and the lack of emotions intended being hidden, plays a part in it, but are we really at the point in culture where anything short of an act of full and total agreement, compliance, and obedience can be seen by a fair number as verbally attacking them? I find it especially odd given that so many times others will openly go beyond such phrasings to say things like "You're a fucking moron", "Go fuck yourself", and similar and then take the stance that the other is being overly sensitive. Its just such a glaring contrast in forum "interaction".

I'm not talking about disagreeing. I have no problem with people disagreeing. Read the forums where I have long, meaningful discussions with people that disagree with me.

These are clear signs of a person taking an intellectual high ground. On a statement they clearly misread. Am I upset with MilkBubble? No, not really. She misread a comment and then attempted a rebuttal to a point that she felt that I had.

I stated that attacking me in an inflammatory sense is a bad idea. It still is. I don't respond to confrontation softly. If you attempt to make me look like an idiot in a public forum, I will chop your legs off and tote them around town square. MilkBubble doesn't seem the type of person (to me) that takes kindly to statements about her character.

Also, I was agreeing with her, and to have somebody spit back in your face when that happens, it upsets me. I used language to effectively communicate that.

Dislike: My music player is looping B52s. I can only handle so much of them.

You should consider seeing a therapist or a counselor. They really do help. Most areas have some that work pro bono or at least free support groups, you just need to do a little digging.

I have tried all of that. I was on ten different kinds of medications, but it didn't change the fact that people were still assholes to me. I don't know how to make them stop, as I am nothing but nice to them. I don't even know why they are assholes to me in the first place, but I really wish I knew why, so I could fix it, because I'm tired of crying every day because someone decided it would be cool to be an asshole to me for no reason.

For awhile, I just thought it was me. I just thought there was something wrong with me that I needed to fix in order to get people to stop being so mean to me. But I have tried everything I can possibly try, and none of it helps.

I can see how one might interpret those comments that way when those phrases are meant to support just themselves, but I felt the overall context showed a more general response, from my point of view. Simply asserting something in a way that shows that you have a strong opinion of something, or even just using specific key phrasing that you've just picked up (like all the girls that always say "Hun" at the end of everything - to me, it comes off a bit conceited and condescending, but I know that's not the intent) is what I felt she had done.

I don't know. I just didn't view her post as having any malice whatsoever but more feeling strongly about her rebuttal itself - even considering that you had agreed with her. Though, as with any text forum, it comes down to knowing the person behind the post and when they tend to actually start getting in the attacking mode. (There are a couple of people here, and on any forum, where just one post and I'm like "Oh HELLLLL no" or "Where the fuck did that come from?", but that's a built up response to those people over the years.)

Hate I can't make my aunt's baby shower...kind of like it too. Not in the mood of dealing with fifty people, mostly women laughing giggling, gossiping. I feel sorry for my lil cousin but he'll survive. He's strong...poor kid lol.
