Short Bio: When the Eternal Dragon shaped Kajin Rala from the cosmic aether, he worked with the intention of creating a fighter’s paradise. This ideal infused every portion of the creation project. Massive energies were wielded to bring the planet into existence, straining the Dragon’s power beyond what many other wishes had done. It took many years, but in the end the wish came to fruition and Kajin Rala stood as perfection in an imperfect universe. However, as the Dragon cannot create life, the planet was left barren and had to await the loving touch of Altered Inc. before it could flourish.

During the terra-forming enterprise, the introduction of foreign life onto Kajin Rala’s soil had an unknown side-effect. Due to the massive energies manipulated by the Dragon during the planet’s creation, small pockets of power were left encapsulated within its crust. The terra-forming process infused this left-over energy with life and form, and so the Kaj-Ralian were created. Sleeping within womb-like cysts beneath the planet’s surface, each member of this race embodies some vision of fighting perfection. Ranging from the muscle-bound hulk to the lightning-fast speedster to the brilliant tactician, every individual Kaj-Ralian had a specific niche to fill.

Altered Inc. became aware of the existence of these creatures through sonar devices and the decision was reached that they would be left alone. The company was wary of disturbing the beings until such time as more information could be gathered about them. Altered Inc. decided to keep the existence of the Kaj-Ralian a secret from the general public and issued a ban against unauthorized digging to prevent others from unearthing the creatures. Unfortunately in this case, the lack of information and prohibition created suspicions in Galactic Minerals.

One of the galaxy’s most powerful companies, GM believed that Altered Inc. had discovered a new material buried beneath the surface of Kajin Rala and were planning to monopolize the distribution of it. Unwilling to allow a rival company an edge over them, GM sent a small group of miners to the planet’s surface to begin a covert digging operation in one of Altered’s off-limits sites.
