Turns out redstone was endemically glitched on my desktop, because I can actually do things with redstone on my laptop. How disheartening/invigorating.

It still doesn't change the fact that redtorches keep the dust active and fuck up my designs though.

i.e. huge ugly pain in the ass, I just want to send the current up the wall without having to solve a logic puzzle and have it be totally impractical.
Maybe I'm missing something. Now that redtorches actually do what they are supposed to though I can expiriement some more. I can never understand a concept unless I arrive at that conclusion myself, so in I go. When in doubt: It was sarcasm.
