Had an idea....But need to ask questions first.
Can A player's character influence the actual chubbs world around them?
Meaning..Character A goes to central city and somehow wipes out the city or destroys the local economy, does it have an actual effect on the chubbs world?
Or can another character just make an Rp and ignore all the stuff that happened for the other guy?
So my idea was pretty much in a dream last night about the chubbs world.
Basically my idea was for this to be a living breathing world. Where if a group of characters decide to go on a genocidal rage, it would actually affect the chubbs universe as a whole. Like maybe on the chubbs news feed it detailing the events and stuff routinely that are happening in the universe (Not just in sagas)
And yeah I already thought about restraint and such. Like what if characters go nuts and just keep smashing up the world? They could pm a mod or admin about what their wanting to do and how it would affect the game and all and then the mods and admins could vote on wether or not to allow it or to allow a lesser form of it if the original is to much.
I dunno just one of my dream ideas that popped up last night. The other was a actual Chubbs Economy. Players get a certain amount of money..And buy small business's where they can actually accumlate a certain amount of money a week or a month (Like player A owns taco stand in central city. Player A made 1500 Z this week. After cost of maintenince and resupply
Player A made total of 150Z bring home. This woudl be interesting as it wouldnt require a player to quest or anything it would just be a guarnteed income. Per month was my actual idea so you wouldnt make alot but it would add up over time.
And what made my idea cool to me was the above would affect the Chubbs economy. Like...Players go crazy and kill folks in central city, then it would affect buissness knocking backa players profits somewhat from liek the above 150 to maybe 80 or 60.
I dunnoi I have a ton more ideas...And Id love to submit them all if you guys dont mind reading over some of them. But this was the set that most interestied me for now.

This is already happening, that's why we have the Chubbs News Network, so people can be told of significant actions that the other roleplayers have done.
e: so, uhm, yes, it was happening. : D

CNN Link
The most recent is the complete obliteration of North City. Half of Central City was destroyed in 09 and is slowly being rebuilt. Other things have affected the site as well. Read up :D

Essentially, no. Not with the level of freedom and impact you're suggesting. It's the same reason important NPCs cannot be slaughtered wholesale in MMOs; there has to be a level of arbitrary structure and protection within a game of this nature to keep things moving properly.
However, if you have a storyline that involves a significant impact upon the Chubbs world, send it along to Staff. We by no means guarantee either approval or rejection.
Does it suck? Yeah. Having the power to destroy a planet, and then not being able to (even if it makes complete sense for your character) is lame. But we have to live with that.

I also mentioned that in my post at the top about how there would be a need for staff to approve it and what not or offer a lesser version IE....Player wants to wipe out city, staff says no thats way to big for your character right now would you settle for wiping out a neiborhood or such something like that.
Also...i really wanna hear what people think about the economy idea?

I skimmed.
If this were a video game, having an economy would be fucking awesome. But, alas. Something like that would be far too time-consuming and convoluted to maintain without code.
I like the idea, myself, in a design sort-of-way. But it won't work for Chubbs.

I think for that exact reason, it was stated that our current characters aren't that strong.

They aren't.

Just out of curiousity (sorry for butchering the english language), why aren't we allowed to destroy stuff more often? I figured it was due to trust and fear of abuse, but I was just curious.
The whole mmo thing doesn't really fit well as a analogy to chubbs, because on a mmo the reason why you can't destroy stuff is so that other players can quest/do their own thing. Is that the really the reason? I didn't figure that fit, because on a server for a mmo you have thousands of players. On here we are lucky to have 10 active people.
I was just curious. Because I'd, personally, be much more likely to join a Saga if Belle was destroying a city and I wanted to stop him, then joining said saga because a random npc is attacking said city. I think some players are also getting to the point where they are far enough ahead that people would have to team up at this point.
Edit: No offense intended in any of this postrz.
I dunno. I think I'd just care a lot more about what people did on this forum if it actually changed the world not just for them, but everyone who roleplays. But, that's prob in a perfect world, amirit?

You can certainly do a lot of damage. Just not like, blowing up a massive city in a single blast kinda damage. Depending on your power level. That's roughly correct, I believe. So you're certainly free to cause mayhem in some city and invite people to come stop you.

I thought it was said that a high power person could roughly destroy a city block.
But I figured that even destroying a few blocks would take staff approval.

Not really. I wouldn't have a problem with it. Just let us know and make a CNN post.

Like honestly id love to see some destruction. But make it so if you wanna do bigger levels of destruction you have to get staff approval PLUS its posted on Cnn as a all points bulletin to anyone who is interested in putting a stop to it. Id love to be destroying a city for heck of it and then just wham some people rush in and smack me with a giant newspaper and say "HEY YOU NO!" And then me fight til im about to get dead and then run away like a coward

Power scaling was brought down for a couple reasons, one being that people were blowing up cities left and right or large areas and members were powerful enough to destroy a planet as well as regenerate from injuries instantly. Imagine someone with a rebreather or survival. They don't want to lose, they can just jump into the atmosphere and planet nuke.
The other reason is that by slowing down the progression of strength, we could create larger gaps between CA of characters and still have them being able to compete with each other in a reasonable manner.
Victoria could destroy a city block with a tiered power up, but it would take a considerable amount of energy.
It makes me wonder when this site will cease to have dbz in the title, though, and make itself in the lingo of Another Destiny.
I understand you can enjoy a roleplay in a dbz world, and that's all fine and dandy. However, just for example, Oozaru in the series were planet destroyers. Scaling that down, they can do what, destroy a city block? Maybe a two, before being tired? Are they no longer the size of buildings on Chubbs?
I know dbz as is is a horrible basis to judge power off of. I mean, Roshi blew up the moon. He's like, miniscule compared to everyone else. But if destroying a city block is exhausting to someone who is at least double most people on the site (and the reason, unless I am wrong, that power scaling was considered so that people find it nigh impossible to get that high, or higher), then how is this even on dbz fighting level. Currently, with the destroying a city block thing, it isn't even equivalent to dragonball, the first series.
Why can't you just have your city/planet destroying approved, just like everything else? Obviously the major planets will never get destroyed. Or any, actually, because it's to much work. But I'm starting to wonder how this site is even linked to dbz, besides sharing a world. The term world is used loosely, however, and should just be termed as landscape at this point. We share the same layouts of planets, that's about it.
