Dragon Ball Mafia: DAY 2

[John Doe]

A reckless night was had by all, the Sleeptalkers making their strange and incoherent thoughts known by all. Some kept to their provided beds while others stalked the full moonlight. With so much uncertainty, the line between friend and foe was invisible. Demons hid in the dark.

One such demon was the evil wizard Babidi, infiltrating the small house of his first victim. "Heheheheh, if that obnoxious, sunglasses-wearing fool thinks that I'll just go along with his stupid game, he must not know who I am! I'm the great wizard Babidi. I'll gather a cult and I'll destroy everyone in my way! Starting with this one!" The dark wizard hovered over his chosen target. "Rise and shine, young one. You'll now be working under me!" He shook the young boy awake, who groggily adjusted his eyes to the moonlit room.

The young Saiyan stared out the window, admiring the full natural satellite that hovered above the unknown planet. His heart beat faster and faster as his tail twitched and shuddered, eyes fixated on the full moon. "Boy, what are you doing? YOU WILL NOT DISOBEY YOUR MASTER! I CONTROL YOU!" The boy quickly grew to enormous proportions, bearing fangs and forming dark hair all over his body. He had become the mighty Oozaru. "Wha-What is the meaning of this!? You're supposed to be under my control! I'm the great wizard Babidi! NOOOOOOOOO-"

Underneath the giant foot of the great ape, the pitiful wizard drew his final breath.

Elsewhere, the Mafia gathered together outside of the home of their first victim. They were swift and efficient, silently overpowering their target with their combined efforts. They grinned as they awaited the rising sun, knowing the darkness had consumed an innocent soul.

As the Mafia retreated to their separate dwellings, a new silhouette crept into the home of the supposed victim. Perhaps the last one laughing wouldn't be the Mafia after all!

Leo is dead! He was Babidi, the evil wizard, who had the power to recruit one player into his Majin Cult during the night phase. Unfortunately, he was killed before being able to recruit anyone. There were no other deaths during the night.

Lol, should have known Doe would do another cult, but for some reason I wasn't expecting it. Didn't get rolling this time though, so that's one threat out of the way, thanks to the oozaru (I'm guessing Gohan?). Plus, no townies dead! Good work, doc.

But Vad, why'd you kill Krillin? Just some good old blood emancipation? =(

Was just talking to Teemer about this. Since Vad killed a townsperson (one with a pretty awesome power, no less) it kind of evens out the doc getting a save. We should be further ahead than we are.

Sadly, Vad decided that Mal's time upon the mortal coil had come to an end.

Vad lived up to my expectations, and so did Mal. Though it was an awesome power, maybe, it's not as though Mal had the ability to actually use that power effectively and would have wasted it like Vad wasted his own.

So, on to a post that's actually about something relevant to the game.

Lynch Vad

Now, the question that is naturally on everyone's mind is "buh?" He has a sweet power. Kill someone and end a day. He then uses it on the very first day on a seemingly random person. The only way this makes any sense is if it wasn't actually at random. The only people who know who the mafia are... are the mafia.

If he knows who to kill, then he has absolutely no reason to worry about saving his power. He can fire it off indiscriminately and, no matter who he kills, the mafia come out ahead.

I will say, though, that there's always the chance that he was just hoping to get lucky. Even if that's the case, though, it's more to go on than anything else we have so far.

Vad might not be mafia, it's true, but "I don't think mafia would do something stupid" has been empirically proven to hold no water. Sorry if this sounds like I'm picking on you Vad, but the last few times you've been mafia you've been picked out, almost unanimously, as being so.

I'm not going to push Vad any more for lynch because, like I said, it's def possible that it was just a bad play. Those happen.
