I forsee alot of overhaul on the WiiU. I just dont see the demand for something like that. What they should do...Is just stick to the Wii..And improve upon what they already have.

The playstation Vita is just a PSP with a new fancy title a few new features...thats it..

But this WiiU thing just seems...like a horrible idea....Like Awakening the Balrog...And then finding out Gandalf is outside chasing butterflys...

What was the last Nintendo console that actually failed? Virtualboy?

Everyone likes to give the Wii shit for not having the most modern tech and a gimmicky control system, but it's also true that the Wii made metric asstons of money. It wasn't just because it sold a massive number of units; in a rarity, the console itself was sold at a profit. And, even though Nintendo can guarantee best-sellers on almost all its first-party titles based on nostalgia factor alone, it still makes quality games.

My main reasons for dislikeing the wii( I have one in my house that belongs to my little brother).

1. I get tired of having to freaking move to play every freaking game...When icome home from a long day or im stressed I like to SIT down in my comfy leather computer chair blast my AC...turn on my surround sound..and releax and play some games...Not work out...if i wanna sweat ill go to a gym.

2. Got all happy cuz apparently you can play smash brothers without using motion control....Was happy til i realized how unresponsive and laggy the control was. (Tried multiple controlers as wella s buying my little brother a new one.) Even compared it to our old smash brothers game on n64...the n64's controler was far more responsive on the old system than the wi's new set up.

3. Played some wiisports games...sure they were fun for a bit...until i played archery and realized that even when my arms were shaking or my hands...the motionon the screen was moving all over the place. (Checke other games as well had the same problem. Showed my dad , and we check the sensor..even ordered a new sensor to see if it might resolve it...nope it didnt.

4. No games that appeal to me. Call of duty and other fps just suck on the wii..besides the controls on the game the graphics are horrible...sorry but its the truth. I would much rather play a fps on my 360 or a ps3 or even my computer.

Now as far as it being sold for profit? Thats great hand claps and applause to Nintendo. But its not hard make profit when you market it towards 16 and under. Sure adults play it...but from what I can see mainly 15 and under are the target market.

I bought a Wii and liked RE4 and played Brawl for a couple weeks and then got massively, massively, MASSIVELY bored.

I put more time into MGS4 than I did into the entire Wii library when I owned it. And I've put more time into L4D2 than I did into MGS4.

It's apparently for some people, and that's cool. The way I see it, Nintendo found something that would appeal to the casual market, and made it cheap enough to qualify as a trendy purchasable for the middle-class. Kaching. Never mind that there is virtually no third-party support (of course, that's nothing new), and that the motion-sensor system is nowhere near sensitive and accurate enough to actually produce the sort of shit that got me all excited in the first place: legit sword fights, for example. I say boo.

But, millions and millions of sales can't be wrong. I'm just not at all their target.

Yeah, it gets boring to hear people constantly rag on Nintendo because the graphics of the Wii weren't good enough. At least they're trying new things. Oh, but I'm forgetting the Kinect and the Move. /sarcasm.

Am I the only person who doesn't get totally exhausted playing the Wii? That always seems to be the biggest complaint (after graphics): "QQ MY ARMS HURT QQ." I mean, I get tired playing Just Dance, but that's because I'm cutting a rug. Really, the flick of the wrist required by most games is not that intensive.

I'm sure more 3rd party ["hardcore"] developers would have embraced the console and explored the mechanic a bit more had their intended audience not whined about a tiny bit of exertion.

I was fine with the Wii in terms of "movement" with the controllers. In fact, most of the time it made it easier. Running in Zelda and just flicking my wrist while running cuts things down like a breeze. RE4 was very similar, being easy to aim then switch to knife when needed. There was a spin for Mario galaxy, there was a whip for Metroid Prime, etc etc. Maybe people aren't holding it right? My Wiimote usually just rested in my lap as I was playing anything. If you hold it out at full arm's length then of course you're going to tire yourself out.

I'm sick of hearing "better graphics better graphics!" We're looking for aesthetics, not graphics. Think Katamari Damaci. You wouldn't complain that it looked bad because it didn't. It had a style that drew you into the crazy, fucked up world as you mercilessly rolled innocent people into your giant ball of death. Having said that, yes there are games on the Wii that lack both graphical power and aesthetics too (fuck you Ninja Bread Man). All I ask is that you complain about the right thing. Graphics are just polygons, aesthetics are how they use them to make the game look good.

I "bitch" about graphics because if it's the exact same game on the other consoles, why would you go for the one with the poorest graphics for no extra payoff? Is there really anyone of you going to be won over on buying Wii-U by the fact that there's an extra screen between your hand?

The reason poorer graphics for the Wii was accepted was because it was the only console with motion controls and now it's not the only console with motion controls and it has the poorest graphics of any of the consoles.

And while I'm at it http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/v...Aesthetics

If you wanted motion controls, you'd get the Wii. Kinect and Move are addons, which means you'd have to buy a console and additional hardware, where the Wii is cheaper and comes with motion controls automatically. This is assuming all you wanted was motion controls.

Except you had to buy addons for the Wii for the motion control to be as good as the Kinect (I don't know about Move, haven't seen any footage). Try playing the Wii standard on some of the more action packed games where motion control finesse is critical and then try putting on Wii Motion Plus. It's going to be much smoother for you and the experience is going to be much more enjoyable.

Now compare prices here:
Kinect in Denmark is around at 695 DKK with a game included (new game)

Let's say you own all the controllers you want and just want the Motion Plus, that's 188 DKK each. So if you have what, 4 controllers (let's say you're a big Wii fan) that's 752 DKK just so I can have an equal motion experience and I have NO GAME that I can try this on.

If I wanted motion controls, I'd want QUALITY motion controls.

Does the Wii-U even have motion control with the new controller anyway?

From my knowledge they integrated the tech from the Motion Plus into the normal Wiimote now. If you argue that you'd have to buy addons if you bought older models, then it'd still be cheaper than buying a 360 with Kinect or PS3 with Move if you already own a Wii anyway. As well as having a larger pool of games to choose from (more motion control specific games I mean).

I have no knowledge whatsoever on the Wii-U because I haven't been paying attention to E3 beyond what people tell me.

But that's my point, if you own all current 3 consoles with their respective add ons for enjoyable motion control, why would you purchase the Wii-U (with perhaps no motion control?) that has worse graphics than both the XBox 360 and the Playstation 3 but the exact same gameplay (perhaps with no motion control).

It just baffles me. The ONLY reason I can see anyone getting a Wii-U is for the exclusive remakes of Nintendo franchises. : S
