Alternate Character or Character Reset Question

Hey everyone. It's been a long time. Several years actually, I'm sorry I haven't taken the time to stop by, well, at all. However, this is the Q&S forum, so, that apology aside, I have a question concerning the possibility of a return to writing.

My previous character, Ruhiel, which I had a lengthy storyline planned for, is not something I currently have much motivation to pick up at the moment. I also understand that per the new regulations concerning interaction of characters pre-turnover, storyline Ruhiel was going to follow would eventually violate this rule. I do not wish to outright remove Ruhiel, as he reminds me of my writing as Android 20, but considering the circumstances, I would understand the staff's reasoning that this would be less of an alternate character, and more of an outright character switch. I understand the implications of a character switch, not to mention whatever stats/abilities/techniques/etc. Ruhiel are archaic and do not conform to the current system.

Summarizing my meandering paragraph, I wish to begin writing here at Chubbs again. While I have no idea if anyone I remember from when I wrote as Twenty is still here (custom characters compound this problem), I distinctly remember that the quality of writers here stimulated my creative side, something which has been heartily stifled for the past four years. I have created my alternate/new character, and have included that information below as well. If anyone could give me a recommendation, or pass judgment on this case, I would really appreciate it.

Name: Conrad Lorimer

Age: 27

Race: Generic (Human)

Sex: Male

Starting Planet: Earth

Profession: Biochemical Engineer

Fighting Style: Merciless

Short Bio: Conrad leads a professional life of anonymity. Reserved, distant, and seemingly apathetic to most situations around him, he was an ideal candidate for jobs requiring minimal interaction with others; which is satisfied in his current occupation as biochemical engineer. He was brought up in a middle class family as an only child and taught the value of hard work and doing what is necessary to get ahead. Ruthless in his pursuit of the ideal of being "correct," he views the world in a formulaic model. He classifies others based on his assessment of them. While not outwardly displayed, he has a vigilante mentality. If he views someone as a threat, or as simply a "bad" person, he will take the steps necessary to "correct" them. His physically underwhelming frame does not lend well to this mentality. However, he is a former cross-country runner, and is rather quick on his feet.

General Description: Conrad is rather physically underwhelming in appearance. He has a thin frame, and slightly below average height. While not in poor physical shape, Conrad is far from muscle-bound. His eyes are a steel blue. His face is angular and taut, and has a small, sharp nose. He has messy white-blonde hair that, if not carefully managed, has a habit of falling in front of his face. There are a few wrinkles developing beneath his eyes as a result of premature aging from stress.

Starting Abilities: Stealth, Regeneration

Trait: Bully

Stats:
• Strength - 15%
• Focus – 30%
• Endurance - 25%
• Agility - 30%

Did you form Ruhiel after January 1st 2009? If you didn't then you're free to rejoin as him and make Conrad as an alternate.

As far as roleplaying with old canon's. The current stance is that you're allowed to roleplay with the canon you controlled if you so choose, but they would be an NPC.

I'm pretty sure I made Ruhiel before then (not 100% positive on that), but considering I more or less disappeared four years ago, it seems more than likely that I made him before that date. But, I'd understand if just an educated guess isn't good enough in this case.

If at all possible, I would like to make this character my alternate, in order to preserve Ruhiel until I have the motivation to continue that story. So, if that's still alright with everyone here, I'm definitely all set to start up again as Conrad!

Done and done, just made the Conrad account, then realized that account wouldn't be able to post here. Thanks for taking care of all of this for me, and I really appreciate the welcome. It's good to be back.
