Anyone else think Wukong's abilities sound kinda...lame?

Nope. He's the first champion I'll have bought on day 1.

Definitely not. I really like their take on the whole "trickster" role of the monkey king. Bouncing around, knocking people up, vanishing in thin air. Good stuff.

Pro-tip: Going into the bush and holding down either S or H will make your character not move at all, thinking that it's your clone and maybe you can do amazing jukes with it.

If not, it was a fun way to die.

At least the Monkey King has SOME of his original traits from the stories.

He can turn a hair into a clone of himself
He can travel long distances with the use of a cloud (but to be fair, he doesn't somersault off of it)
And it LOOKS KINDA LIKE his staff grows when he whirls around.

I'm noticing more and more that I play damage characters (specially melee ones) more like SUPPORT chars. I kind of harrass and fuck with peopel a lot, and I usually get out of it, but I never KILL anything. I have a very hard time killing people as anyone but Udyr.

Chars I've tried:
Noc
Wukong
Udyr
Yi
Other people that should kill EVERYTHING.

Melee is usually a high-risk low-reward role. It's really about knowing how much much damage you can soak and how much damage the enemy can do. I like playing Melee champs a lot and sometimes you just lose out on the killing blow. Not a whole lot can be done about it, which can really suck.

Most melee champs have an ability for damage mitigation and the most important thing about playing melee in a team fight is knowing when to use that skill. That ties into the "knowing the damage" thing. If you can maximize your damage mitigation, you can stay in a fight longer and have a much better chance of getting kills.

I've been thinking that ganking basically comes down to knowing how much damage you can do with the window of opportunity you have. It just seems like it's a very rare thing for more advanced players to put themselves into positions where they can be easily killed, specially in lane.

How does this work? Is there a Chubbz Guide to Ganking?

TY mate, but this ism ore about how to defend against ganks, not how to successfully do them.

Basically, have a pretty good idea of how much damage you can do as well as how much you can take. Watch the map for people that are overextended, try not to go through obvious wards. And this is the one that even I still have to work on... ping your target or say on mumble or something so that lane knows what you are doing and they can try to get a stun/slow or something to make it easier or at least come help at the right time.

Adding that last point... everyone, I mean EVERYONE needs to watch the map for when a ganker is near and be ready to assist or whatever (without dying of course). Too many times I'll sit in a bush for 5-10 seconds before going in, go in and have whoever else was in that lane going the opposite direction causing me to either die or have to blow flash. But, I also share the blame for that because half the time I don't ping or anything before I go in. But when I do and that lane runs away... oh man.

Another thing be aware of is the two-part gank. If someone is running defensive summoners, there's a very good chance that you will not be able to successfully gank them. The first part, then, is to attempt a gank with the intention of just blowing their summoner spells. A couple of key components to this first part are to a) not use summoner spells of your own (with the exception of CV and ignite) and b) not to put yourself in danger by chasing too far.

Once they blow their defensive spells, the jungler can come back and gank them for real with a much higher chance of successfully getting a kill.

In order for this to work, though, you have to not push your lane while their summoner spells are on CD. In fact, you should make an effort to force the lane to move towards your tower.

Knowing your damage is a pretty big part of it, whether your the person in the lane or the person coming to gank. For example, if Tryg is playing Trundle and comes to gank for me while I'm laning as Ashe against, say, Corki, I would tell him there is no point. Ashe has very bad early-game damage and there's only one CC between the two champions and Corki has an escape. Unless Corki uses his Valkyrie to, like, farm while Tryg is waiting to gank, it's just not going to happen. It's definitely about knowing how champions perform at low levels.

EDIT: Oh, and if you are the one coming to gank, attempt your gank and then leave. Don't stick around to push minion waves out take gold from the laner. Just go heal or hit the jungle or go back to your lane or whatever.

Unless the other person in lane leaves, then by all means stay and last hit (LAST HIT ONLY) unless the lane is already pushed near the enemy tower. In that case, push it to the tower so the minion wave dies and will reset to being closer to mid.
