I had an instance in a shaft where, after nearly dying twice to teleporting creepers (Saw them coming, got ready, started swinging sword, suddenly its on me from across the room and instantly detonates), I walk over to look over an overhang and see water flowing into lava. I go back over a clear area and just suddenly drop through the floor into said lava. I was on a solid area, and next to water (that should have put me out) but I guess I must have found a single hole or something.

Lost diamond I'd gotten from a chest, a full stack of clay, a lot of string, redstone, gold, and other stuff.

Uh...I spent an hour and a half after recovering my corpse from random wandering before I found the base again. Compasses should totally point to your own spawn, not the original >.>

Yea. I'm planning to go back and collect what's left. Tons of coal, obsidian, red stone that I left alone due to being near lava. Time to get down and dirty...AND CAREFUL! After I get a map I'll be heading back via boat.

Those caves run much further than I think would be reasonable for you to try to border off above. They run out past the jungle islands (the vines from the trees) to a big ravine that I climbed down into it from and way beyond that.

Well fuck me sideways. Of course I won't border off that far, no way. I just mean that general area is all. Like I said, I'm more than happy to shift my borders for people who wanna be neighborly!

So, Vad and I have taken to just wandering around and exploring, and it's freaking awesome. We went out to 2400ish X and found a mineshaft with so much gold in it but we both died(Vad did, but I suicided because screw walking 3000 X back)

Yep. They were definitely buffed.

Depends a lot on how close you are to them when they actually blow up. Even the smallest bit of distance can change the damage a lot. With no armour I've been OHK'd by a creeper right on top of me.

Does blocking work on Creeper damage?

With the lag, they will be standing on top of you when detonating even if you see them coming and try to react. I lost a FUCKTON of shit last night after two hours in a ravine (was trying to climb back out) when I hit a point where I starting blinking left and right and warping back and forth and then suddenly died to a horde of mobs that I never even saw. I returned about 5-6 times on runs for the next hour and a half but all that shit despawned because I couldn't even successfully finish the small jump down to reset the timer by touching the items, because I'd immediately get jerked around on stepping into that area.

(Similar effect as walking into a chunk error)

Also, my bed was all "Fuck you" and kept trying to tell me that my bed was missing when I would respawn, and just refuses to accept my spawn point.

So, blocking does work on creepers =D if you see them coming and are full, it's super awesome.

So, this mineshaft...still no end in sight, which isn't a bad thing. found 5 chests in about ten minutes, netting a few diamonds and some more seeds, and rightafter finding 3 of them...a dungeon =D nothing great inside, but the moss stone is nice. Seriously digging it.

Also btw, anyone can feel free to grab some seeds if they need 'em and you find yourself out here. Semirare and all that.

These experience orbs are causing me huge problems. Any time I die it lags out the entire game because there are a million glowing little dots that are trying to follow me. Not only THAT but they jus' swarm around my face for like, 5 minutes and I can't see a goddamn thing.

yeah, it's a known bug atm and why I don't generally acquire too much exp.

I tried that and unless I just sit there and let all the crap I dropped despawn I still have the same problem.
