It sort of does if you played through on Recruit or whatever. Only started a Veteran playthrough, but it looks like there are lulz to be placed around at points as well.

Hate: My Java class. All of the examples and lecture materials assume a lot of information that none of us have. 80% of my time in this class is spent hopelessly googling individual lines of code to figure out wtf is going on. The professor is not a native English speaker which makes it worse.

And it's web development. Which is already a fucking headache. Goodbye, 4.0

Pretty sure the original was almost like a competitive-corporate-sim-city in the sense that you ran the corporation, and also ran the assassination/kidnapping/whatever missions as a cyborg. In this version it looks like they're focusing more on the 'missions' in order to create a new-looking FPS and are subsequently downplaying down the 'sim-city' part of it.

Edit: Also, the original was more of a tactical shooter, the new version looks more like an ordinary FPS.

Edit: Yeah, rewatched the trailer. It's focus seems to be more on the 'agent' play, than on the 'CEO' play that the original focused on.
