The RIOT Act
Well, really you are worried about towers. Dying just makes it hard for you to protect your towers. You also end up giving gold to your enemy making it harder for you to continue to protect your tower (and kill theirs).

And, the jungler's focus is primarily on bot and mid lanes. Bot, because it's the easiest to gank (three people focused on one target = dead target) and for dragon control, and mid for dragon control. That's not to say jungler can't gank top, but in the sweep of things, it's less preferable. The moment the jungler shows his/her face top, the opposing bot lane can play much more aggressively.

EDIT: That's why, really, it's best if you can go back and buy without having someone cover for you, if possible. The power of the jungler's pressure comes from the enemy team not knowing where s/he is.

Kaden Wrote:Something that needs to be done more is the gank-from-mid-lane. Since mid is usually played by a champion with high burst, it's really easy for them to burst down a wave, back up into the fog, and then show up at bot for a quick gank attempt before heading back to lane. Puts added pressure on the enemy team and gives the jungler some extra slack to work with.

This.

I've been playing mid Pantheon for the past couple of days, and every game I faceroll until I reach that Pantheon plateau in late game. I think the great thing about Pantheon is that, not only is he a direct counter to some of the most OP casters out there atm (Sion, Morg, Kass, Karthus, Brand and stuff) it's also his ability to gank from lane with his ult. The great thing about Pantheon, that I've always loved (most of you that played with me back in the day should know that I absolutely love Pantheon and Shaco) is his ability to gank when the minimap clearly shows you in another lane.

Okay.

It is called a surrender vote.

No more excessive snarking at the people who vote no just because you think it's a lost game. It's especially irritating when the vote loses 2/3, or worse, 1/4.

Pet peeve es #1. Unfortunately, I assume the mentality is less "I'm throwing my vote to surrendering this game" and more "I'm done with this fucking game". If everyone's on board, that works, but if not, it creates tons of frustration for all involved, not just the person who feels spited by the lack of surrender.

Supports that, when they take CV, are terrible at using it.

Hence why I usually regret not taking it even when I'm playing a carry.

I hate dying at an inhibitor tower because the rest of my team runs away when two enemy champs show up and we could've got the tower and a kill or two if they had've stayed (and maybe I might've still died).

Supports that call for the supporting role and doesn't buy a single ward.

Shacos that never leave jungle the entire game, Yoricks, period(seriously, pretty strong laning phase, but tons of champs can do that without having no other strengths) and people that push outer towers alone when our inhib tower is getting slammed. Had a rare strong game as lux against cait, and then I got all of that.

I just want more teams that don't lose in the laning phase. Just don't do it. If you're losing trying to farm equally, be more defensive. If your laning enemies leave lane, call mia and slam your balls against the wall pushing(with ward ofc). Punish people for leaving the lane, lock those fuckers down so people can win their lanes instead of fighting 1v4 all game while you dick around get 1cs a minute. fuck. I consider myself best during lane phase(I have a tendency to get decent kill streaks early and fall of during teamfights. Just not that good at them) and nothing pisses me off as much as people just being stupid early and essentially deleting the lane phase. /end rant

With the recent support changes...

...supports need farm too, Weemus.

But no, seriously, supports do need farm, just like the rest of the team. Unless you want somebody that doesn't really contribute any damage and doesn't do any real supporting.

Farming as a support is something you need to be careful about. Make sure you only take last hits your AD carry is not going for, and go all out and farm the hell out of everything if you AD carry ever goes back. The worst thing you can do, even if you do need some farm, is to directly take last hits from your carry. That's just frustrating and you end up having two half farmed people which is just not a good result period. If you carry is going for that melee minion over there, hover around and get that caster minion at the back there, but never go after the same minion.

And damn it never use your stupid AOE to farm and push up the bloody lane as well as completely ruin your range AD's last hit timings. Ugh.

Anz, I know how to lane as a support. I know that, for pure supports like Soraka and Sona, their partner gets preference to last hits, aside from the times when the lane should be pushed, then last hits don't matter. However, once you're out of the laning phase, supports have just as much of a right to grab a creep wave, especially when they say, "I need x more gold for my <item>, which will help our team <how>." Since you are really only relying on a gp5 or two for cash, the occasional creep wave is needed.

In addition, there are some support champs that absolutely need farm to be effective. Taking CV on Orianna or Nidalee does not mean she can be effective without items. In these cases, I find it totally justified to compete for last hits.

That was a general 'you' not a jarka 'you'.

Either way, I'd argue that Ori or Nid are better taken in roles other than support because they are just wayyyy better that way (because they need said farm). Sort of the point of the ranged AD/support setup is that you let the ranged AD farm so they can carry, and you are just there to enable that. Nid and Ori, while I guess they can fufill that role, are sub-optimal to other champ choices in addition to being way better in a solo mid or solo top spot. Same goes for cho'gath for top/jungle, and yes I know you enjoy support cho down bottom.

My point is, if someone wants to play the support/ad carry bot setup, then said someone should go into it with a champ that works with that. That means champs other than ones you need to compete for last hits with, because now you're just defying the very setup you intended to play. If you don't, then well anything goes I guess.

I do agree about the post-laning phase stuff.

An Udyr building toward Warmog's or Trin Force gets precedence over a support Soraka, in general. As I see it.

I think the keyword is occasional.

I also think it's important to not go running across a map for a creep wave when someone closer can take care of it, regardless of what champ you are playing, because that fucking annoys me so much. I see this happen a lot.
