Just finished watching MLG, so I'm going to type some stuff about it.

[spoiler]Holy. Shit. TSM like a fuckin baws.

Dan said it in one of the interviews that they were scared of TSM more than anyone else simply because of the familiarity and good god did it show. TSM just straight fucked them. Every single time Epik went to do something, TSM just beat them to it.

What I absolutely couldn't understand was Epik's banning. I get that they're a great team, but wtf guys. Stop letting them have that jungle Maokai! I get that you're afraid of other stuff, that's a totally reasonable mentality, but you clearly couldn't handle that. Stop leaving it on the board. Same thing with that Karthus; Karth should have been their first ban going into the second game of the finals, no question about it. And don't get me started on the Yorick. There is no reason they should have kept all three of those champions open going into that third game. Yeah, they used the first pick to finally snatch that Karthus, but look how well that turned out.

Solo Mid's absolute advantage, to me, came from their awareness. They were just aware of everything. I think it was game two where EG was kind of split up and TSM had vision of a couple of them being not in mid, so they just five-manned two turrets down. Completely free. They saw EG was out of position and bent them over for it. They constantly had an amazing roam game and serious ganks because they knew where people were and where people were going (some amazing TPs by Yorick, too).

Their combat awareness was also phenomenal. There's a fight towards the end of the third match where Yorick got a triple kill... go watch that fight. Fucking amazing awareness by Yorick and Ezreal that whole time. Yorick's triple was because he was managing his Ez ghost's attacks, switching between squishy targets while he pushed the beefier champs around with his own champion. Insane. Also watch the actual Ez. He stands just, like, pixels outside of Karthus' Defile, never taking more than one tick of damage from it and poking at anyone in range while actually moving behind the enemy team to position skill shots at the squishy targets. Like... amazing. That kind of small-scale awareness is just really, really impressive.

I wanted TSM to win those matches, and I'm glad they did, but holy hell I thought it would be a lot closer than that. TSM just put on a fuckin' clinic.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]I was hoping EG would win, but you are absolutely right in their picks/bans for the 2nd and 3rd game. I could not for the life of me figure out what their thought process was there. Having watched the games with Dignitas, EG should have figured Maokai into their plans, because TheOddOne was BEASTING with him. After the first loss to that, they should have just straight up taken him off the table. The problem with banning Regi out, he's been doing amazingly well with Karthus, Kassadin, and LeBlanc. They banned Kassadin and LeBlanc, I honestly think they should have banned Karthus instead of LeBlanc, knowing how to counter LeBlanc like they did the previous day with the Swain starting with nothing but HP pots. Just lane Salce against him with Swain again, and there you go. Keep LeBlanc from being a factor.

But yeah, TSM was playing almost perfectly that entire day, still wanted EG to win because of Dyrus though. But yeah, near perfect play from Regi, TheRainMan and TheOddOne. TheOddOne especially. He's really stepped up his jungling. He's never been a bad jungler, he's always been pretty good, but up until this event he was getting overshadowed by junglers like Jatt and Saint. But man did he show just how well he can be in the jungle with this event.[/spoiler]

IF YOU'RE PLAYING SUPPORT, BUY ORACLES! I DON'T CARE IF IT MEANS YOU HAVE TO PUT OFF AN ITEM FOR A COUPLE MINUTES!

I'm sooooo tired of never seeing Oracles in our games when the enemy is OBVIOUSLY warding. I'm tired of hearing the excuses and rationalizations for why you haven't bought one yet. Yeah, an Aegis is great for your team, but SO IS KILLING ENEMY WARDS. It's just getting dumb how often I end up saying "we need an Oracles." It really shouldn't need to be said that often. Not in premade 5 games.

A couple of times they talked about not really noticing dodge other than when you survive that last hit that should have killed you... I'm one of those people that never noticed it. Even with Nimbleness. I don't know how I constantly missed it, but Jax was the only character where it was ever apparent to me.

I'm also interested in what 'new and exciting' runes could actually be. I mean, it seems to me like they have runes that cover pretty much every stat-aspect of the game.

I am very excited about a new Sivir passive, though. Hella excited.

edit: I do think that their rationale of 'oh you can counter crit chance with armor' is silly. Someone with 300 attack damage, 100% crit change, and bonus crit damage doesn't care how much armor you have.
