now that I think about it, I could probably do solo top in ranked because most teams are guaranteed to have jungles. I just can't handle 2v1 top due to poor defensive skills on my part.

Hmmmm. Probably:
Riven, Nocturne, Renekton, Kog'maw and then a bit of a tie between Ez/Xerath/Shyvana/Skarner. Noc is jungle only. Riven, Skarner, and Shy I am all better in the jungle with, but Riven, Shy and Renekton are all my solo top champs. Kog'maw and Xerath I pretty much only play in mid, Ez I can do bot with I guess. Out of curiosity and not with intent to start an argument, what did I do that resulted in my being kicked from the ranked team?

Ashe Wrote:Out of curiosity and not with intent to start an argument, what did I do that resulted in my being kicked from the ranked team? Nothing. It was 100% because you just don't seem to be on when everyone else is. It looks like we do get more invites, though, so it doesn't seem like jungling a person or two will be a problem. It's just a matter of availability. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

In ranked games, we all need to drop the attitude during a match. It's irritating enough during normals. If something goes wrong, go ahead and say what caused it once, but do not berate the team for the rest of the match. Make a mental note of it. In the post game chat we can CALMLY go over the positives and negatives of the match - you might learn something new about the game or the reasoning behind your teammates' decisions. Nagging the team the whole time only makes us focus on the things that are going wrong, and not going what's going right.
Legit, if you want to hear a way to criticize people during a match, listen to how Kaden talks to me when I support him (although that should be taken with a grain of salt because I've asked him to be very critical of how I play). Are there times where I've fucked up? Oh hell yes. Are there times where my mistakes have hurt his laning presence or killed him? Guaranteed. Even when this happens, he manages to take a deep breath and give me a fairly calm, objective comment about what went wrong/right. Then he will drop it until I make the mistake again or make a comment when I do something correctly afterwards. Even if I keep doing the same thing over and over (TARIC STUN HARASS), he remains calm and adds emphasis through word usage or a suggestion to his remark. I can take criticism. What I can't take is aggressive whining or nagging our own team about something that cannot be changed. There is not a champ or a rune/mastery page that cannot be countered with smarter play, better communication, and proper itemization. Nobody can play well when somebody on their team has a piss poor attitude. That shit is infectious. On top of that, the worse your attitude, the worse you play. The worse your outlook, the worse you play. Remember, you are one of FIVE people on a team. Everybody needs to stop having such a narrow focus in the laning phase and start paying attention to the rest of their team. You may be losing your lane, but the rest of your team may be fine. Hell, even if we outright lose the entire laning phase, we can always pull ahead mid or late game when we get a chance to afk farm. A lost lane only means you have a chance to come back as a sleeper late game. No game is lost at champ select. No game is lost at first blood. No game is lost at inhibitor down. The game is only lost when our nexus explodes, not a second before. tldr; Cut the bullshit attitudes in game and don't harass with Taric stuns so much becau - JARKA STUN THEM. It was on cooldown? Okay, that's a good example of why you shouldn't harass them with stun. Be a little more passive, and make sure you replenish that ward - it's about to run out.

We should definitely play more passive, but I think we should also be a lot more aggressive in lanes.
We should all be a lot more passive aggressive.

Jarka Wrote:(TARIC STUN HARASS) The only thing I really want to emphasize about that post is the moving on part. It's cool to get upset about something. It's even fine to have some attitude or be a bit of a dick about it. Whatever. After that happens, though, we need to be able to collectively put it behind us and move on. There is usually a lot of dwelling during games and it does not make for smile times. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

I guess we might just have to make an extra team or two so that we can form a 5s team no matter who is on, if we want to do ranked. WTB Dota 2 key [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I texted him about it a few days ago and got no response. I'm thinking he's probably given it to someone else by this point.

I sent this text to you "I have the beta, asked on fb if you wanted an invite to it too. Don't know how much I'll be playing it though. And probably not switching after it comes out either. Most likely going to stay with lol." You sent back "Same" as the only reply I got. I assumed that meant you got into the beta as well. Sorry.
