So, last week they released the entire game for free. Personally, I think they're trying to slip in before SWTOR hits retail, but I digress.

Played some last night, was sort of fun even though I was going solo. My evil gunslinging Batman clone was probably a bad idea but I also played a few Superman variations - they were better than every Superman game I've played.

Anybody know how long this is going to remain subscription free? Seems sort of fun but not enough to justify the time/money a pay-for-play MMO demands.

I thought this had been free for a while now. Pretty much everyone on my Steam has this.

I got it when it first came out, after a week or two it runs its course in fun.

Pretty much what happened to me. It was addicting as hell though.

The game gets repetitive when going through the missions but once your reach level 30, thats where the real challenge begins. You become eligible to participate in RAIDS and harder alerts. You have to build up your combat rating by acquiring armor and utilizing the powers you've chosen, repeccing and even switching your weapons sometimes. The updates add to the cool factor, I just recently defeated Doomsday and hope to be able to reach Zod and the League of Assassins hide-out soon.

I was upset at the fact that to get the game it was 100 bucks(special edition) and then I paid for a couple months online only for it to now be free to the point you can just download and play...but I'm glad they went for it. After paying for the first month when the complimentary month ran out, I just let it collect dust. i anticipated this would happen.

When playing dolo it could get boring, but add in some friends/fam (which is easier thanks to its availability) and get into some nice PvP action. It's a great game in my opinion.
