Fuck I was watching Dyrus's stream today and he was playing SWTOR.... ALL THESE TEMPTATIONS!

Man, all the shit floating around the internet from EA/BioWare support side really pushing me super far away from this game. Guy got warned for whispering "fuck" to his friends in private chat and evidently when you're banned, your payment isn't suspended but simply continues to drain while you're not playing the game. You can't cancel it because the service is suspended in your account and support wont cancel it either evidently.

Shady business technique en masse.

A profanity filter is usually not an excuse. I got suspended for a day for cussing a guy in trade chat in WoW in a joking fashion, although it was very colourful it was all covered by the profanity filter. I'll dig up the things I saw today.

That and the whole ruckus of people getting banned just for being quoted in a post makes it seem like they just put up automatic filters and that people sometimes get caught in them. Granted there's no 100% solid evidence but I don't know, this compared to the Origin support scare screenshots over the web make me hella scared of this game.

That's ridiculous, yeah. Course, customer service and the game itself are two totally different areas - I can see a few hotshot GMs pulling this stuff since it's just launch and there's no established protocol yet. If it does carry on, the game won't last long.

The Ilum thing is understandable. There was a chest in a zone unpopulated by NPC's and the culprit was exploiting it to earn money.

No, what was happening was totally different.

The guy who got banned was exploiting the game, they were running in the illum warzone and then teaming up to keep flipping the zone so the chests would insta-respawn to get ridiculous amounts of credit, loot, and exp.

If you could force a boss to respawn every 10 seconds and then killed him repeatedly for extremely high level gear and credits, then yeah, you'd get banned.

The Zone flipping was on reddit and the forums for awhile, there are videos on youtube of guys trolling people who are exploiting the warzones.

Does anyone know what good the Weapon Mod and Enhancement stations are? I mean, you can just do it wherever, so the stations seem strange.
