Eureka 7 is one of those series that was either hit or miss with most people. Some of my friends who watched it rather liked it, others just ended up feeling kinda 'meh' about it at the end. I enjoyed it, but I can't say it was the pinnacle of its genre. There was some elements to it that I greatly enjoyed (some actual romance development, despite Eureka's obvious difficultly with this considering her character archetype and all) and the arc with that other couple later on was pretty profound.

The movie was okay. Not really much else to say about it.

Not sure how I feel about another series of it. I felt the closure at the end was pretty solid, honestly.

So... Mawaru Penguindrum was really damn good. Really good. Though now I want to watch Utena again thanks to it... Ringo in the first parts of the series was amazing. (Well, all through, but early on was just too good.)

By FAR my favorite one of these that happened. And yeah, the way this show manages to transition through serious and non serious stuff is truly insane.

Also, those opening songs quickly got added to my youtube playlist, even though I had to find a couple of things to take off. I really liked them.

So yeah, if you haven't yet, go watch this. It's well worth it.

Anyway, this new season? Yeah totally blown away by it so far, way above expectations. Maybe this is what happens when I go into a season expecting very little from it, but honestly all the premiers so far that I have enjoyed have been good for very solid reasons in their own right. Of course, one episode does not a fantastic show make, but it's certainly showing more promise than I expected.

In a couple of weeks I'll have a proper verdict for the season so far. But right now it's way above expectations.

Kamisama Dolls and Angel Beats both done now. Pretty good, though I'm pissed that it's going to be a while for the second season of Kamisama Dolls. Episode 9 of Angel Beats was really damn good.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai (AnoHana) is probably next on my to watch list, though I'm going to be packing tomorrow and moving Saturday so I probably won't watch it till I get to Florida.

It's something you might actually enjoy, because it's kinda similar to Gurren Lagann or Ben-to in terms of taking nonsense to the XTREME. As something to just enjoy and laugh at, I unironically love Sengoku Basara. Undeniably eye candy too.
