Also...stop picking Kassadin if you're a shit player. Kassadin is a skilled player's champ for when they wanna cripple themselves. You are not that good, so pick someone useful.

I personally am not a big fan of Kassadin because of how easy he is to play (by easy I mean, I went 10-5-7 in a ranked game the third time playing him) and how easy it is to completely destroy his laning phase, thus obliterating his entire game. If he can't get any lane farm, his ganks are useless. By that logic, any champion that can auto push and harass a lane can fuck him up. He's not as OP as everyone thinks, he's a better counter AP pick than anything else.

Well the thing about Kass is that he doesn't need really early farm, if he can get a kill or two early on in lane phase. That pretty much lets him zone the other AP enough that he can catch up on CS and just be in front.

He's not unstoppable, of course, but you have to play really carefully against a Kass once they hit level 6. And god forbid they have blue and just harass you all day.

There's some really strong counters to him though, like Annie, who can really ruin his day from the first creep wave. Just gotta make sure he doesn't get any kills (this happened in a game I was playing eairler, was Kass vs an Annie, but our shaco helped me get an early kill and I ganked bot for another two and that was it for annie).

All things said, though, I really don't think he is an 'easy' champ to play at all. At least not for advanced play with him. Right now he's easy to do well with more because everyone is super scared of him and play stupid, rather than because he's just a faceroll champ.

He's really not as strong as everyone thinks he is in lane. Unless the opposing mid lane champion has no available harass, Kass gets pretty fucked up in lane. Before level 6, Kass really has no kill potential, even with a jungler and. I would argue that Kass's ultimate becomes kind of an achilles heel, because he has to R close to get in range to do damage, but if you R at the wrong moment he gets his ass kicked. Personally whenever I see a Kass R forward to aggro, I start chunking his ass, because after his one hit wonder cast he has nothing at all.

Kass's kit is not at all designed for early game domination against other mid lanes. In a 1v1 situation, I argue that just about every mid lane champion wrecks his face. Really, in essence he's still an assassin, without a tanks distraction or the element of surprise, it's almost impossible to kill people. That's why he mainly resorts to cherry picking early kills (mid and bot lane) into snowballing the entire game. However, that makes him quite a weak champion imo, definitely undeserving of an insta-ban in every game.

That's pretty much it. His strength is his ability to kill people quickly 1v1, having enough mobility to quickly gank different places on the map, and having a very powerful combo that can be used to harass in order to set up for a kill.

Focusing on laning with him isn't really something you do. You lane so that you can kill people and then kill more people.

EDIT: Also the only reason you ever R up close and then Q to harass is because A) They've just used some of their abilities trying to harass you or to kill minions so you can just walk away B) You have your e up and have better speed than them, so if they are already backing up you can just slow and then walk away or C) you're not actually harassing, but killing them.

Most of the time you harass by faking going in for a last hit and then Qing them and Ring away if you need to.
