It was the one that I had memorized for online purchases and I hope that I don't have an issue with a game sub or a bill regarding that card not being active, but apparently, on the 16th when I bought sushi, Moe's, and a book at Barnes and Nobles, all here in Augusta, GA, I made a quick trip to Fort Worth, Texas to grab a couple of things from a Big Daddy Liquor store with a physical copy of my card before coming back that night to finish my errands. Yeah...

Like: Finally getting up the balls to bring in my laptop and finding out it's totally fine. It's like I'm at the house, only with SLIGHTLY worse internet and with no screaming children or nagging elders to keep at bay.

Like: Might be around for possible LoL tomorrow instead of raiding (depending on what guild does) since we downed Madness of Deathwing tonight, grabbing the Destroyer's End titles and a Blazing Drake mount dropped too. Yeah, its a bit late, but its still before the set of nerfs coming in this week's patch were in, so we're happy with it. Solo tanking that on my bear is fun as hell.

Hate: Capcom. You managed to take one of my favorite genres as a child (Resident Evil) and continually shit all over it, to the point where I don't even know wtf it's supposed to be anymore. I never really 'got' the originals. They were creepy as fuck, but I found the gameplay really bad. Now I enjoy them because I find the gameplay much better, despite losing the creepy atmosphere. Does that make me an asshole?

Revelations I'm tentatively anticipating. It seems like they were trying to go for a halfway point between the old and new Resi's, I won't be sure whether they succeeded until I play the full game, but the demo seemed promising.

RE gameplay is a lot of fun, but not good.

I find there's more strategy to it than most shooters, because of the slower pace and the more restricted environments, along with a greater need to reserve ammo. It creates an experience that's more focused on using your environment, targeting crucial areas as opposed to just shooting, and using the entirety of your arsenal including ammo-saving melee attacks. That all complements the exploration and such which itself is more pronounced than most shooters and which makes a nice see-saw effect between action and collection when you're playing through. I consider that to be good design. Course, 4 did all this much better than 5.

The originals were fantastic pieces of survival horror. You were thrown into a terrible situation. There wasn't endless boxes of shotgun shells/machine guns/rocket launchers lying around nor was there some creepy guy in a robe with access to some Spanish black market.

The controls and the fixed camera angles were fantastic elements of the original games. They made it feel more atmospheric and cinematic. I still think those work, just look at Amnesia. I have my problems with that game, but it truly was a piece of survival horror.

I liked RE4 for what it was: A nice breath of fresh air. I wasn't a fan of the departures from the normal, and I flipped shit when RE5 came out and took that all to the hyper extreme (srsly, look at Chris Redfield's muscles in the original game and the fifth game...jesus). The sixth game, which I remember Capcom teasing about being a reboot or a throw-back, looks like that to an even more retarded extreme. On top of that, they ruined the storyline. I got into that canon a lot when I was younger, so the stupid, stupid new elements (y'know, tentacle mind-raping monsters, zombification flowers, etc) also add to my repulsion.

I'm okay with being the only one to have my opinions. I thought Dead Space was a shitty survival horror game (better than RE5, but still not want I want in the genre).

I heard they are rebrandng the series as 'dramatic horror.' Fuck you, Capcom.
