LoM2 - Day Three

I'm a townie. I tried to beam Rose's face into oblivion. Caitlyn stopped me. I took it upon myself to find out if Rose was Mafia or not. LOOK WHERE THAT GOT ME!

I don't think calling on a character's "flavor" is a good idea for you, Rose.

Naw I meant based on in-game abilities. Viktor's all revolve around death lasers and such, nothing that would suggest investigation (like bloodscent) or protection (like Soraka's heal).

But yeah despite Vad admitting he's tried to kill me, I still don't take that as evidence he's mafia. Vad is bad at mafia, hence I find him using his power to try and kill his side's investigator to be not far fetched =P Hence I'm sticking with Keiko (cite: everything Doe said).

Yeah. This is going to be my last game for the rest of eternity. It's been said I'm bad at Mafia for the last page and a half. I kinda fucking get it, guys.

And Doe, that was the third mafia campaign, the one run by me where Waff was the prosecuting attorney. That was rad, no smug.

Nah, it was the first one. At least the first one of 2011. He kept making photoshops of JD and the Mafia video game.

What I think, from what I've remembered reading and from what the GM has said about Night 2, is that Kaden (Caitlyn) or Vad (Victor) is definitely mafia. It can't be both. Kaden has been very hesitant to lynch Keiko both today and the previous day phase, despite being the most reasonable choice to go on. I also find it strange how he claims to have an investigative power but hasn't used it until last night. It seems more reactionary or triggered than an active ability, like a few people have suggested. It seems more likely that Vad was trying to use his power on Kaden, but Caitlyn's power prevented him from doing that and instead revealed him. It seems like a very forgiving version of the "Grandma with Shotgun" role that everyone seems to be giving to the mafia.

I know Doe said that we posted at the same time, but I'm going to respond to this anyway just so it isn't the last thing people read regarding me.

I explained my ability. The first night I used it on Mal. He super died and it was irrelevant.

How have I been, in any way, hesitant to lynch Keiko today? I didn't unlynch at any point and have been committed to the action since the day has opened. The only reason I seemed hesitant yesterday is because I was, like, the one person willing to openly question what Rose was telling us and what you were pushing for. To me, that's not being hesitant, that's being critical, which is an important part of this game. It's inevitable that I get called on it because it plays out pretty much the same way it would if someone was just trying to bs people into stalling. Can't do anything about that, though, that's part of the game.

I do want to stress something about this, though. The flavor bits that Ashe posts are intended to be absolutely nothing but flavor. You guys are taking it as gospel (and did last game, as well) and read into it far more than you should be. I honestly wouldn't be at all surprised if, after today, Ashe is tempted to type absolutely nothing but bullet points of night abilities simply because people read too much into them. He's already kind of done that. If you'll notice, the posts are, thus far, much shorter than they were in the last game.

I say that, mostly, because I know Ashe won't (not right now, at least), despite how much he actually feels that way.

If Vad's suspected of being mafia, being able to kill him while he didn't have a chance to use his Night Ability could be beneficial and then we can lynch Keiko the following day while I Trap her during the Night to keep her during the Night. A potential two-for-one, as it were, if they're both mafia.

That's what I meant.

I do wonder what Zilean's power was, and what I threw away so the Warwick could gather his information. How fun to think on such things.

The fight had a single outcome. Swain did not manage to recall successfully with the rest.
