Mine isn't exactly that, actually. It's more "get rid of legal marriage, make it legal civil unions for everyone, and let marriage be a cultural/social/religious thing".

I think marriage as a recognized institution in general serves no true purpose. I honestly feel its existence is just to please our sense of "proving our devotion" as well as to plant a territorial flag onto someone. I'm married, and my wife and I enjoy it, but we both completely agree that our lives would be no different if we weren't. Having a sheet of paper and someone else nodding their acceptance at our relationship isn't changing it.
