okay, max level is 20. this gets you 72 points to spend on skills. as far as i can tell ther are only two ways to spend points without having any left over.
max out four of five powers.
OR
max out three powers, get a fourth to rank5, and the fifth to rank3.
unfortunately for my female sentinel, i learned this lesson a little too late.

You'll be fine once you unlock Male Sentinel, though.

I have been intentionally avoiding this demo, but reading through this thread made me change my mind. PSN store, here I come.

true, but i was hoping to have each character become a valid option. you can build humans in at least three different ways depending on powers and weapon loadouts, and now i'll only have one optimum human sentinel.
in other news, my soldier is a monster. let me see if i can remember his stats.

This is the most I've gotten out of any demo with the possible exception of a cracked version of the Just Cause 2 demo.

finally getting the hang of adepts. they're glass cannons, powerful as long as nobody sneezes at them. too bad my playstyle is always "tank," otherwise it would be a lot of fun to use them.

Max shockwave, take assault rifle, don't afraid of anything.
I play my adept like a vanguard most of the time and don't run into too much trouble. I took fitness through the health upgrades, though, and that always helps. Singularity is pretty much a one-point-wonder. I ended up maxing it and if I unlock female, I definitely won't be doing that again. The upgrades are nice, sure, but you don't get nearly as much out of maxing that as you do from pretty much anything else.

ha, yeah, singularity is better in theory than in practice. i upgraded it for radius, recharge and detonation. terrible combo. but its fast enough i can follow it up for a quick bio explosion
and i did max shockwave, i just forget to cast it most of the time or i cast out of range :X

Wub wub wub wub wave. : o
I feel so squishy playing Vanguard. I charge in, rape shit and die if I want to AoE damage because I lose my barrier. : (

Yeah, Singularity exists pretty much solely for combos. Gets better when you take Warp Ammo, but meh other wise. It's pretty useful against guys engineers and such with shields, though, since it constantly causes them to stumble and Adepts don't have a good way to punch through shields.

Warp > Shockwave is a biotic combo that works even while an enemies shields are up.
If I had known that sooner, I would have specced Shockwave for explosions.

i upgraded warp and shockwave for bio explosions, but with only 625/625 i dont have time to line up combos like that. i either lead with singularity or cast warp and hide.
the asari suits me better with low health. she casts throw like there's no tomorrow, and her heavy melee is amazing when you use medigel and you're surrounded. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%...hv3hXsGx2E

Me too, I just shoot shockwave through walls and boxes and shit to trigger the explosion. Shockwave is pretty insanely good.
EDIT: That said, my plan is still to pretty much abandon my Human for an Asari once I unlock her.

Huh. Well...so far, the other three people in the quick match have quit in the lobby every time. That's frustrating.
It's pretty fun, though, gotta say.
EDIT: Thank God for that little combat drone. Killing mercs is hard work, especially on my own.

so im leveling my last few classes, currently the vanguard. i think i have it figured out.
1. drells suck.
2. don't use nova. just charge in, then melee/shotgun their faces off.
seriously. my last game i was ballin so hard that even when half the team dropped, me and this level 9 turian just kept playing. i grabbed all the shutdown objectives, did most of the downloads alone, killed all the phantoms, and got five times as many points as he did. i spent the last ten seconds of the ecav dodging an atlas and guardians (that were in the ecav area) alone without leaving the zone. this class is absurd

Yeah my entire team dropped as a vanguard and I was like "well I'm screwed now" but apparently teammates are more of an optional bonus for a vanguard. You will never convince me to not use Nova, though.

I like the Drell a lot for the demo. Pull is really helpful against Guardians. The grenades aren't amazing (and Shockwave is just better by almost any metric) but still decent. Charge is just ridiculous, though, and, unlike Humans, you can combo Pull > Charge if you're cooldowns are set for it.
Still can't decide which shotgun I like the best. The Claymore is sick, but one shot at a time can be pretty devastating. The rapid-fire one is just so weak it makes me sad. Right now I'm carrying around the Claymore on my Drell and do something like +130% melee damage which increases to over ~170% for 15 seconds when I kill with a heavy attack. It's fun, regardless.

i upgraded nova for half blast and pierce, and it finally became useful. even now its only a last ditch attack against phantoms, turrets and atlas. my vanguard is best when i use my shields to buy time between charging.
maybe my drell just sucks. i maxed his grenades for radius and capacity when i should have put more into training/fitness. and i can't find a good weapon to fit him. right now he's using carnifex, but it's only got a few dozen rounds.
