o.0 Unlocking stuff in multiplayer is done like a trading card game?

Without the trading, yeah.

trading would be great. i've got a fully unlocked asari adept, turian sentinel, krogan soldier, and salarian infiltrator i would gladly trade for a revenant x

Is all that demo stuff staying over to the actual purchase?

No. I saw they made that change, but I haven't played it since Friday. Decided to hold all the extra anticipation for the release.

Well, that's good. I just tried to do the multiplayer and I guess it's closed until tonight.

Bah. Got my first specter pack, got a shotgun for my rare and some silver I forgot already. Multiplayer is fun, though. If anyone wants to play, PM me your Origin name, or catch me on LoL or wherever, or just post it here and we'll get some creds!

Add me on Origin: teemer2003

Depending on my time and if my internet isn't being lame I would love to play.

A quick heads up for those of you who are getting ME3, but don't have it yet:

NewEgg is selling a 240GB SSD SATA III drive for $250, and it comes with a free copy of ME3. That's a great price for a SSD period; the free copy of ME3 is bonus. Definitely worth thinking about if you're planning to make the upgrade to SSD.

Would link, but NewEgg's having server issues right now.

geth are easy

reapers are terrifying

cerberus is juuuust right

the new multiplayer maps are fun, too. i think the one with the fusion reatcor core might be my favorite. that was the first place i fought the reapers, and it was like an alien spin off film

This really was so much better with Chubbsians than retard pugs. Also, it's as if the game knows me; gave me both of the unlockable Adept classes today. Tomorrow, pimp mage activate!

i take back the comment about geth being easy. a geth prime on gold is arguably the most powerful enemy in multiplayer.

So, promotions.

For anybody who doesn't know, promotions weren't available in the multiplayer demo because it's linked to the single player campaign. Once you get a multiplayer class up to level 20 you can "promote" the class into a "war asset" that Shepard can deploy in the campaign. This brings that class back to level 1 and gives a nominal bonus to your N7 rating. You keep all character/appearance unlocks, though.

I reached level 20 with Soldier the other day but kept playing with him just to get credits - bought a lot of Recruit Packs, got most of the basic weapons to level VIII or better (Katana, Mantis, Predator, Avenger, Shuriken), at least one level V attachment for each, an full appearance customization for one human of each class. Now grinding my way back up is significantly easier.

Once I max all of the basic weapons I plan to do Vet Packs. Pretty excited about those, there's a ton more weapons and attachments to get now, rumor is that everything from the single player is available in multi. Might spend actual cash on a few Spectre Packs, though. I'd hate to have to beat a Gold mission or beat two Silvers just to get enough credits for one of those. :/

dunno about anyone else here, but i got my N7 level into the 150's last week and left it there. figured it was just high enough to not get auto-kicked from Gold games. currently in the early 170's because of the XP cards i keep drawing from equipment packs.

switched from playing Human Soldier to Salarian Engineer. the Decoy ability pretty much makes me the ultimate tank since i can absorb infinite damage between Decoy, Energy Drain, and recovery items. after the patch the other week that increased Drain's damage resistance from 15% to 40% i used a respec card and put points into that upgrade.

the last patch increased the damage of the Phaeston assault rifle by about 8%. i had been using the Mattock X but switched to the Phaeston VIII, works great for my engineer. i had almost forgotten how much more flexible a fully automatic rifle is, regardless if it has 1/3 the per-bullet damage

also, premium veteran packs? fuck yeah, finally a pack that's worth the credits. wish i had saved my earnings instead of spending it all. but the lure of new items kept seducing me spending everything after each mission. oh well, preimum vet packs fuck yeah

Are there patch notes about the changes to MP characters?

Was pretty annoyed when all of a sudden my Quarian Infiltrator didn't AoE hack with absolutely no warning and no respec (yeah, it was totally broken, but that's not my point).

Also, I'm at the point where silver is the new bronze. Gold is still as insane as ever though.
