I actually found Bastion rather underwhelming. It's competent, and the narrator style of story telling is really top notch, but the game play is pretty meh.

Zombies Took My Daughter

I am always a sucker for procedural generation of game environments. Tie in my enjoyment of looming time constraints (which is why Majora's Mask remains my favorite game from the Legend of Zelda series), and you've given me an enjoyable 20 minutes.

I hated the hitbox, though. The "W" to go down a ladder was also strange and counter intuitive.

Fun other than that.

EDIT: Also, it's got a badge of the day on Kongregate, so you get bonus points if you get the (super easy) achievement.

Just finished To the Moon. Very moving. Basically spent the last hour-and-a-half bawling my eyes out.

EDIT: It's a perfect example of a game that doesn't treat the player like an idiot, either. You could complete the game and feel emotionally fulfilled without ever working out the twist.

I have that game but haven't gotten to it yet. If it's as good as you say, it might move up on my list of gaming priorities.

Also scrap my earlier statement about Bastion. The second time around it was fantastic.
